Pretty good run of form for the Carolina Hurricanes over the last few weeks, 81 and four in their last 13 games. One of those overtime setbacks came last night in a 21 shootout loss to the Saint Louis Blues. That frankly Carolina was the better team should have won, didn't win because that sport sometimes you just don't get the goal. Hockey is that way. Jordan Bennington played very well in net for Saint Louis, but I don't think he played better than Carolina's goaltender, Auntie Ranta. And if I could big picture this just for a second, I would say that Aunty Ranta coming back and playing the way he played last night is probably better news than two points in the standings would have been. He is an incredibly well like teammate. He has been a great player for the Hurricanes over the last couple of years. And real fans remember how Ranta played in the playoffs last year and the year before and he was great. And that's the Auntie Ranta that we saw last night. And I think that's an encouraging sign because with Frederick Anderson's return, really nowhere on the horizon. Right now you can't lump everything on the shoulders of Pyotr Kov. Ranta is going to have to be called upon. He's gonna have to play. He's gonna have to play well and boy, did that happen last night. So, uh I'll take Ron to playing that way over two points. Uh, especially in a small sample size. Uh, not so much a small sample size anymore is Carolina's absolutely lethal power play. Yes, I said that about the Hurricane's power play fans are, they're not used to it. We have no idea what to do with a power play. That is absolutely cooking right now. Hurricanes scored their only goal last night on the power play. They only got one power play and cashed in on it. Tavo Terrain's 14th goal of the season and Carolina is now 13 for their last 25 in the power play and they have a seven game streak of at least one power play goal and dating back even further, their power play has connected 20 out of the last 44 trips to the ice. That's 45.5% 4, 20 out of 44. Unbelievable. Now, is it gonna keep up that way? No, of course, it's not because that's not reality, but all they have to do is be between 20 25% in the postseason with the way Carolina plays at five on five. And then as my friend, Trip, Tracy says they're cooking with oil gas and gravy.
