Hurricanes forward Seth Jarvis scored his 15th goal of the season in a 6-3 win vs.the Ducks. Rod Brind'Amour says it doesn't matter what role he puts him in, he excels.
Chris, this game saw a little bit of everything. A great first period start for the canes, a second period that saw a combined six goals and of course, that Brendan Lemieux fight, but the one thing that has been consistent all season and was noticeable again here tonight was the elevated play of Seth Jarvis playing alongside Jordan Saul and Jordan Martinu. Jarvie had himself a three point night including his 15th goal of the year. He also assisted on Martin's third. Marty said it's been fun playing with 24. He said I'm just riding shotgun right now because he's playing so incredible. He's turning into a, into a very, very good player in this league and as he was, but uh to watch it firsthand and to see see him evolve is uh, has been so cool and um happy to happy to keep watching him. Well, he's having a great year and he's, he's making plays, but he's doing it right. And um, he's certainly not afraid he'll get in there against the big guys and you need to have that to be successful tonight. Midnight, the All Star fan vote closes and there's been a push for Seth Jarvis. So I asked him a goal to assist. Is that your own little last minute push here? He laughed and said, nope, it's too late. I'm going to Mexico. I've got a non-refundable trip and I'm all set on warm weather, Chris, but he said he appreciates the effort from all the fans.
