Hurricanes defenseman Tony DeAngeo had two assists in Saturday's 3-2 loss to Minnesota. TDA spoke about not dweelig on a four game road swing and playing a full 60 minute game
I'm assuming are good when it comes to preparing for what's what's coming down the road against a good team. And especially the continued kind of fight back you guys have, yeah, it's uh playoff type field of the game, real physical team, good team. They've had good success this year against, especially against top teams and they've been good. But uh, I thought we had it to a couple there that kind of puts the game three, nothing when we come back. But besides that, I thought we played a pretty good game, 37, almost 40 shots, whatever. So We keep playing like that and just do it for 60 minutes. I'm not too worried. Well, yeah, Tony. I know it's the the optimistic way to look at it and it's a stretch of four road games in six days to start the second half. Do you feel that way regarding the trip as a whole? That you feel that if the team continues to play the way that you have that you'll be just fine? Yeah, I mean, I don't care about four game road trip stuff. We gotta bring the same, you know, you gotta play the same way every night. I think that's the way this team is, this team is made to do that. So we can't make excuses about, you know, being the fourth game of the weekend and all that kind of stuff. But we just got to play a 60 minute game, full game, we're gonna be fine. I think we showed it when we did, we did two months ago in boston, 60 minute game and, and you know, he played really well. So we got to do that more often. Not sometimes it's gonna be, you know, everybody has a bad game here and there, but this game tonight wasn't bad at all, it was really good. It's just lapses and good teams score when your laps chips. Yeah, Tony. How would you assess the four game road trip as a whole, looking at all four games? That's a good question. It's not that mean point percentage wise, it wasn't great. We didn't get we wanted out of it. But I mean, we had, like I said, I could feel it and repeat myself a little bit. I don't need to, but we've had a lot of good, we've had a lot of good stretches in these four games and a couple of times we've had lapses and like I said, good teams, Toronto, it's a good team. Minnesota is a good team, boston's good team, they score when you have lapses. So as long as we do 60 minutes, I think we're gonna be fine. Like I said, Corey, how would you best stretches play over the last month, month and a half and you know, just kind of the leap he's taken in the way he's dominating games. Yeah, he's a dominant player, he's got a dominant dominant frame to him, he's a great skater, he's a strong kid and when he's playing like that, it just makes our team, makes our team that much better and that much deeper throughout the, throughout the four lines. He's been great and he's uh starting to get rewarded for it. All right. Thanks, Tony. Thanks.
