Bob Holliday takes us back to when Julius Peppers did everything on the football field at Southern Nash High School, including playing running back.
Having a big running back is nothing new at Southern Nash. In the early nineties, big Abe Jones powered the Firebird offense. Now the ball goes to an even bigger Julius Peppers. Abe was 642, 25. Uh, 2672 50. Julius makes a look like a little baby peppers in the open field is to see speed. It's so fast for size. I mean, he runs a 4640 seeing Julius Peppers pop out on the sweep is to see power. Folks just don't like to run into. Somebody weighs £250 as moving as fast as he is. I'm big and I got more power, I guess. And I can run, run over people. Is it fun to drag those little guys? Yeah, it's fun. Yeah. Yeah, you have hanging at your hips. When Ray Davis persuaded Peppers to give football a try a few years ago, he told him he could play anywhere. Julius chose running back. I just wanted to touch the ball. I just wanted to have fun. I know I probably won't play running back in college. There's more Peppers will play every down on defense. For the Firebirds, he can hit and he dreams of catching a pass to help his team win the championship Bob Holiday. W I LTV, five sports.
