Wild last couple of games for the Carolina Hurricanes. They basically played the same game two times in a row, lost the first one in overtime and blew out the Buffalo Sabers the second one that was last night. So Carolina was the better team by millions of miles against the Islanders. But they didn't get good goaltending, didn't finish enough of their chances as well cause they could have probably scored five or six, only scored four, but they got it in overtime and at least got a point out of it against Buffalo last night. Carolina got good goaltending. They need great goaltending because they dominated the game again and they finished almost everything. So when Carolina can play like that more often than not, you're going to get something out of the game and they did it against the Sabers. It was certainly good to see Jack Drury get on the scoresheet a couple of times. He also albeit unsuccessfully got into a fight late in the third period. Didn't like the fact that Martine Nachez took a hit, which I thought was a clean hit, but I get standing up for your teammates. I just don't understand, uh, while you risk your own injury to do so, but I guess they risk injury. Basically every shift they take in the NHL and now we'll see what happens as Carolina goes out on the road. This is a very difficult western Canada road trip that will end in. Well, Park Canada and I guess Detroit maybe is close to Canada. So basically it's a Canadian swing and it's Carolina's second six game road trip of the season. First one were games two through seven. So now here we are 23 games into the season. Carolina is going on another six game road trip starts in Winnipeg tomorrow night, 730 start here in the east. Then it goes to Edmonton nationally televised game 930 start. Our old friend John for will be on the call there. Uh Then they're in Calgary, then they're in Vancouver. Then they come back east for uh Ottawa and Detroit and then Carolina will finally come home. So the next, I guess week and a half will be spent away from home. See where Carolina is when we get there. But I will say that at least the Hurricanes right now are starting to resemble the team that we all thought they would be. If they get good goaltending, they'll win a ton of games.
