So the Hurricanes got the bounce back game. They were looking for Saturday night in the win over the Pittsburgh Penguins after Wednesday's loss at home to the Philadelphia Flyers. Captain Jordan Stahl called the team out basically for not playing to their standard, not playing to their style really ever consistently so far through the 1st 16 games of the season. Well, they did it Saturday against the Penguins. They win it 42, got great performances from the top line. Aho Terravion and Jarvis combined for three goals and seven points. They were probably Carolina's best line when you add the scoring in, but the best line is always the captain Jordan Stahl with Jordan Martin Nook and Yas per F, they always set the tone uh but they got great performances from anti ranta and net who had 26 saves and I got a stat for you about Ranta coming up in just a second, but it was about time the Carolina put together three periods of hurricanes hockey, not just a win, you can play hurricanes, hockey and lose, but it looked like the Carolina Hurricanes. There was a consistent four check. There weren't as many as defensive gaps. There were a few, there's always gonna be a few, no team's gonna play perfect no matter how good you are. Uh, but the Hurricanes minimize those. But when they were there, ante Ranta made the big saves. So everything kind of came together against the Penguins. Not only did you have the four check that was on point. The top line guys, not only played well but produced, uh, points and goals, but the goaltender was there to save them when it didn't go well and Ranta was tremendous. Now, here's the stat for ante Rata and I'm gonna have to read this because frankly, it's mind blowing Ranta in his regular season career with the Hurricanes at PNC Arena 25 2 and 2, 25 2 and two with the 922 save percentage. That's all better than his numbers overall anywhere. But here's another good one in 11 playoff decisions because there's a couple of starts there where he left early and didn't get a decision in 11 playoff decisions. Ranta is eight and three with a 941 save percentage. He played great. The Hurricanes played well. They get a win now they get to sit on it until playing Edmonton on Wednesday. Hopefully they'll look the same as they did. Saturday.
