Well, if you're going to split a two game road trip to the state of Florida, the Hurricanes certainly did it the right way, especially if one of the games is going to be a dud. So the Hurricane started on Friday night at Florida, the team that swept them out of the playoffs a year ago and Rod was asked about it. Does it matter that it's Florida and Rob was like, don't even remember last year at this point, but Carolina was no good against the Panthers. They lose 52 and Rod specifically called out the top guys. He said too many of our top guys are not going right now. And without saying it, he kind of met Sebastian, aho while the points have been there, the overall game hasn't and I think Sebastian knows that more than anybody. Uh Anyway, the hurricane certainly bounced back. Well, right 40 win in Tampa Pyotr Kov 22 save shutout aho with a goal and an assist, but he was on top of his game the whole way. Brent burns a goal and an assist. The Hurricane's power play continues to be good. The penalty kill was also exceptional in the win and now it sets up a stretch where Carolina is going to start getting some home games. Think of about this. 15 games in the 1st 11 have been on the road and the Canes are 96 and 0, 18 points is good for second in the division. They played more games than most teams, but at least now they're going to start stacking some home games where Carolina has not lost yet this season. We'll see if they can continue that home mastery starting on Wednesday. But for the most part, I think the Hurricanes are pretty fortunate to be where they are 15 games into the season considering they haven't gotten to their complete game just yet. Defensively, it's been much better, but offensively they haven't lived in the offensive zone, hemming the other teams in the way they normally would. Their four check game has not been outstanding. It's been there in Spurts. It hasn't been there consistently. Let's see if some home ice will be the trick.
