Duke guard Jeremy Roach talks his growth and maturation now that he's near the end of his senior season. He scored a team-high 19 points on just 11 shots vs. Louisville.
I don't know, it's just confidence, I mean, just putting it working with coach J in the mornings in the fall, uh even in the summer, um just him trying to get my rhythm, uh with shooting the ball. I mean, once I get my rhythm, I feel like I can make any shot. I mean, I feel like early in my career, I was just kind of thinking too much about shooting the ball, not just letting it fly, not, not being confident like I am now, but um I mean, just give credit to the work that I been doing. Um It's been a lot, it's been a lot of work, a lot of I've seen hours too. Um, a lot of mental prep too for it. So Kyle mentioned that it's, it's been really cool to see the growth that he's been doing just for. Um, what do you think has changed the most for you? You know, you've had so long, I'm sure a lot of, I just feel like it's my confidence in me, just be me just being more mature, kind of learn, learning Shire's system. I mean, I obviously New Shire system but just kind of just get more comfortable in Shire system. Um and just reading the game more, I felt like kind of last year. I was trying to force a little bit too much and just now, like, we have a plethora of guys who can, who can go get 20. So it's like I don't even need to go out there and force it. I just need to go uh just be efficient in my spots when I shoot the ball. So, one more question. Yeah, I mean, I can, uh, I mean, I think just in the film session, I mean, obviously it was a big thing. Um Wake, like I said, Wake Force played a hell of a game. Um, I feel like we played a pretty good game but I mean, they were, they were just, they were playing lights out that, that game. I mean, he hats off to them. Um, but I mean, after that game we decided to turn to the next page. I mean, obviously we got four games left. Can't harp on a, on a loss on Saturday when we got a game on, on Wednesday. So.
