Welcome to sports. The A. C. C. Kickoff is starting to break down, it's all over. But now we can actually look forward to football or can we, because conference realignment is still the dominant conversation here. I had a chance to catch up with you and see head coach Mack Brown about it today and you know what? It does help to have one of the biggest brands so he feels confident they're gonna be fine no matter what it's the sport that has the bigger problem. My point is the community is best when all neighborhoods are healthy, all of them. The A. C. C. Real estate market is declining but Mack Brown believes U. N. C. Is recession proof. I'm really not concerned about it because north Carolina is going to be one of those schools that if something happened they would be very valuable to other people. A. C. C. Commissioner Jim phillips said everything is on the table when it comes to expansion. But he also would like to see more than just the sec in big 10 neighborhoods survive. Brown agrees you've got to make a decision on what's best for college football or what's best for your school. I don't think it's best for college football to have two mega conferences and have 50 teams because there's so many great programs that will not be able to compete at the same level. They are now and when that happens, their fans are going to be really disappointed and they're gonna lose revenue And it will hurt football all the way down to FCS and Division two in Division three.
