Vincent Zhou knows that he has a mountain to climb if he is going to win gold at the Winter Olympics in Beijing, and so he has spent plenty of time in Palo Alto doing just that, hiking and climbing in hopes of ultimately reaching the top.
Vincent zhou figure skating Palo alto California. I train and live in colorado Springs right now. There is amazing hiking all around. Every time I'm out on the mountain I feel so free and disconnected from the hustle and bustle and fast paced daily life. It's like just me and nature and just one ft in front of the other. Just keep pushing forward. Climbing mountains and stuff is a good metaphor for the climb to success. Triple toe loop. Each elite athlete has their own journey and has to overcome obstacles and struggled greatly to achieve the things they have bigger and cleaner than I've seen from him in a long time. And every time I'm on the trail of a mountain it just feels so metaphorically similar to the journey I'm on. It's a brand new world Vincent Zhou. You are on a different level. Now when I reach the top it feels like elation and victory and freedom. And I love that feeling. Mm hmm.
