Hedbert Perez is the No. 8 overall prospect for the Milwaukee Brewers. Hedbert earned a bump to Carolina last season after jumping out to a solid start in the Arizona Complex League
what is this time like right now? Well first of all, thank you for the opportunity being here. I think as a team we're really excited, really happy to be here just, you know, junk junk team. I just want to play and being able to play every day. It's just exciting, we love baseball, love entertaining fans so it's just exciting, exciting moments. Speaking of fans, have you had the opportunity to kind of be out into the city and yes, actually we were yesterday walking through night dale several and all of the city and it's been a cool city man. Uh like it's really beautiful, a lot of nature like beauty. So I think we enjoy being here as well. First year manager victor just kind of thoughts on him. I know he's coached a few of the guys are, are you any one of those are just gonna get your thoughts on your first day? Yes, so victor, he's a great, great guy, good manager, good person to be coach of uh a lot of experience here in Dominican republic Colombia as well. Uh I think he knows how to handle a bunch of, a group of, a bunch of junk guys. So I think it's gonna be a good and good to be a good season for him for all of us. The team kind of gel together in the early part of the season. Do you guys do stuff together trying to, trying to get that bonding together because a lot of guys don't know each other but what's that like? I mean I think brewers have made a good work on trying to like make a, not just a baseball team, but I think a family, I think our time in spring training and being there together, it's just being time like in the fields outside on the field, just go eat with some of the guys, it's just a good moment in spring training like to make that group, you know what I'm saying? So it's really good. It is it's really important because you want to have that chemistry here in the field and outside because I think a baseball team or just the team itself got to have a good chemistry to be successful, opening day is here, we'll just talk about how it's, you're gonna be out here, you know playing games, how exciting it is to, you know, to get it to get it going. Like I said it's really exciting. Like all of us, we love baseball, uh being here, played with fans, uh playing other teams have the competition, it's gonna be great, it's gonna be, thing is going to be a good year, we're going to be really a really really good team as a top prospect. You know, just as low a level as they tell us what the goals you have for yourself set to in order to progress. I think I'm just trying to be trying to be me, trying to get better every day, get better in every aspect, but I think the most important is for me to help wherever team I am to help the team win, be a good teammate, trying to help the team as far as I can to win a baseball game and hopefully a season as well.
