UNC's QB battle was almost too close to call between Drake Maye and Jacolby Criswell. If you want to understand how Maye came out on top you just need to look at his family and how he plays a simple game like ping pong.
the light shine a little brighter when you're officially QB one. How's it going? Good, I'm good, Drake May still soaking it all in, just be excited, you know, home state kid he's always dreamed of and just going out there and that Carolina blue and putting on for the state, just trying to make some noise. He's the son of former Carolina QB, Mark May and grew up in a house with three brothers, including former UNC basketball star luke. Maye sports has been a big part of our family, but just goes back to the end of the day, just competing as a kid. He competed at everything in life, even ping pong, just winning the table. You know, it's just staying on, I think, I think it's one of the worst things in sports is, you know, having to watch somebody else play, whether it's ping pong or you know, whatever it is, just giving that paddle up. There's something about that feeling that it's just, it's hard to, hard to live with. He refuses to give up the paddle and doesn't plan on giving back the ball either, it's all about production. Um, you know, just just taking play within the play, each play at a time and uh, what I can to win the play and uh, whether it's positive or negative, just leave in the past and go execute the next one luke. Facetime, drake and was really excited for him and drake said that his brother luke has really been an inspiration for him because he's been there, done that, he's lived it. So he takes his advice really seriously and now drake gets his first chance to prove he can do it to chris.
