Former Rolesville star Noah Rogers transferred to NC State after one season at Ohio State. Rogers spoke to the media about his decision and what excites him about the Pack's offense
Decision is to come. I mean, the right decision. I have to make a decision. Um Yeah, um I feel great in my decision. Uh I feel at peace and in my decision, looking forward and to what to come. And I'm really excited to uh work with the pack. What time and uh what, what was the, uh what was the biggest factor in you coming to winning? Uh I see that they're one, there was one game away from making it to the AC C championship and um coming in, I know that I can contribute to the team and be a part of something special. You know, what are your thoughts and I can cation coming in. This could be a high powered is how exciting is the potential for, man. I'm really excited. We, we've just been stacking days working together, building the chemistry and um with KC, you know, setting the tone last season, I mean, we got a bill from that and come together as a group and keep, keep working. So that, that kind of came with you originally when you were offered to Marcus, obviously committing here. Now, you know, what's that? Like to be going through it to all these guys and he went through that original process. Um It's actually crazy because we always had jokes about playing together. Um, but, uh, it actually has happened and, you know, playing together, playing with Tamarcus, uh, Lex Wesley, uh I've been knowing them since I was younger and it's actually really special to grow up and, and grow together and be a part of the same team, you know, a lot of playing time, but having that experience for that program that you can, um yeah, I have a lot of love for Ohio State. Um and, and the guys up there, I, I learned a lot on and off the field and I'm very thankful for that and um um they did a great job of helping him become a, a better player and most importantly, a, a better man. I like to, you know, the first time you went around nil was in the beginning, they just now going through the second time. Did you see any differences? And I'm sure you saw some of your, I think they make you just get paid. But what has that been like? Just kind of hit the business side of college football the second time around? Oh yeah, nil is changing the game all around. But, um you know, I'm not really looking, looking at that, I'm just looking towards uh playing football and everything else will come, you know, little Birdie said you have some rappers, you drop some bars any truth to that. Nah, me and me and my friends, we just, we just be talking on the mic just for the fun, just whatever comes to mind. Yeah. The goal this year is to win the AC C championship and, um, you know, break some records. Who's the Roseville player in NC State? Uh Roseville alum in NC state. Uh me, you know, it's Marcus. Nah, nah yo, what do you see your role coaching? Um, a deep threat, uh not just a deep threat but a route runner, um, who can make contested catches and, you know, facilitate the field, you know, play inside and outside. So like you don't see, um, I'm really excited to be back home, um because ain't nothing better than putting on for your hometown and inspiring others to come do the same and leave a legacy. You see Casey and what he was able to do is to deny offense and what excites you about a, uh, it excites me knowing that I'm playing beside uh a league wide receiver and that could be something special going into the future and not just that a player that I see that has a lot of great potential that will, um, bring the best out of me by competing every day and making each other better.
