Joe Giglio explains how the NFL can make the day after the Super Bowl a holiday.
When it comes to the Super Bowl, the NFL gets just about everything right. Except this one major thing Given the popularity of the NFL and its biggest event the day after the Super Bowl should be a national holiday. But Joe you just can't go really million create your own national holiday. Fine. You don't have to, all Roger Goodell needs to do is add an extra week to the league calendar. It's that simple right now. NFL teams play 17 games in 18 weeks. If they made it 17 in 19 weeks, then every team that is required to plan on Thursday night wouldn't have to do it on short rest and it would push the calendar back to the third monday in february. Would you look at that next monday is President's Day? The third monday of february is always President's Day. It's so obvious there's such an easy fix. Adele can even claim it as his own idea. I don't need the credit. I just need the morning after the Super Bowl to be, I don't have to set the alarm. I don't have to go to carpool. I'm not asking that much. Just move the calendar by one week. That's all I need. That is your shot at joe to go. Pretty pleased with common sense and player safety on top. Don't throw it away
