UNC head coach Hubert Davis reflected on his first season as the head coach of the Tar Heels after the team's loss to Kansas in the national title game.
I did. You know, I said that, you know, and I told him this after the game that my desperation for them to have those experiences in the Carolina uniform was very important for me. And I was very thankful that I feel like this year they were able to have it, not just they were able to have a number of experiences, um, that they could grab on and to lean on and to smile about. Um, the thing that I shared with him in the locker room is along the way as they were experiencing it, they were giving me more stories and testimonies and memories. Bye just having a front row seat to be around them. And so, um, I said before that, you know, I can't remember a time in my life where I should be disappointed, but I'm just filled with so much pride. I'm so proud of these guys of what they have done for themselves, individually as a team, the way that they have represented our university, this program, our community, I can't ask for them to do any more than what they have done and I am, I am extremely proud of each one of them
