Gold: Canes heading for (empty) Ottawa
The Canes will take on the Senators in Ottawa tonight. Due to Ontario health and safety regulations this will be Carolina's first game this year in front of no fans. Adding to the difficulty is that Carolina also has struggled with sub-NHL .500 teams this year. Included in their 12-6-0 record against those teams is a 3-2 loss to the Sens in Raleigh in December.

Gold: Canes back in action tonight against the Golden Knights
The Caroling Hurricanes will entertain the Pacific Division leading Vegas Golden Knights tonight at PNC Arena. Good thing for the Hurricanes that Vegas is one of the best teams in the NHL. Against that group the Canes have been the best in the NHL.

Gold: Hurricanes back in Boston
The Hurricanes are on the road against the Boston Bruins tonight. Boston has won 5 straight and 8 of their last 9 games and is certainly not the same team the Canes beat 3-0 in Raleigh on October 28.

Gold: Canes ready to play hockey again!
Coming off (yet another) virus-induced break, the Canes will host Columbus at PNC Arena. It will be just the 5th game Carolina has played since December 18. While the Hurricanes are 3-0-1 in those four, the breaks have not been conducive to quality play.

Gold: Canes weekend preview
The Hurricanes are scheduled for two games at PNC Arena this weekend. As long as Covid doesn't stand in the way, they'll play the Kings and Predators, each of whom they defeated earlier in the season.
