http://www.cbssports.com/general/blog/nfl-rapidreports/21455620/browns-notebook-qb-thaddeus-lewis-may-make-nfl-debut-sundayBrowns quarterback Thaddeus Lewis isn't accustomed to the spotlight. In fact, he has never played in an NFL game.

That could change on Sunday in Pittsburgh. Starter Brandon Weeden and backup Colt McCoy both missed practice on Wednesday with right shoulder injuries. The Browns have signed veteran Josh Johnson, but Lewis is taking the first-team reps. When Lewis faced the cameras in the first extensive interview with the media of his professional career, he felt a bit overwhelmed.

"I wouldn't say I was a celebrity," he said with a smile. "The lights are bright, though."

They will also be bright in Pittsburgh, where the Browns will try to avoid a three-game losing streak to end the season and Lewis could be "living out a childhood dream" if neither Weeden nor McCoy is available. "If my number is called, it's going to be amazing," he said.

http://www.cleveland.com/browns/index.ssf/2012/12/quick_slant_1.htmlPITTSBURGH -- With off-season changes looming, Cleveland Browns players and coaches entered Sunday's game fighting for spots in the league in 2013.

Quarterback Thad Lewis may have done the most of anyone on the field to assure himself of a job somewhere next year. Third on the depth chart, Lewis' first NFL start didn't come with spectacular numbers (22-of-32, 204 yards, 1 TD, 1 interception), but his effort in the 24-10 loss may help his status in Cleveland (depending on the coach) or with another NFL team.

What did we learn: OK, it's a low bar to clear, but Lewis did better in his debut than Brandon Weeden. Lewis made one huge mistake with a Troy Polamalu interception in the first half, but showed poise in the pocket and zip with his release. He did make the usual rookie mistake by staring down receivers, but at least made quick decisions.

Lewis, 25, gave evidence that he might be a No. 2 in the NFL. Regardless of the Browns' final decision on a coaching staff, Lewis at least got the chance to display his talents to the league.

Link to me starting this by "picking apart arguments?"

I simply stated that I had to sit Fred Jackson now when little E made a personal attack.

Yahoo agree with me saying this:

"Still, Lewis is a borderline NFL player with a tendency to check down and good yet overrated mobility. He'll be an extremely poor QB2 option in Week 6. Look for the Bills to try to ride C.J. Spiller and Fred Jackson, sending the fantasy outlooks of Robert Woods and Stevie Johnson tumbling."

Anyone who has been following this season know that defenses stacked the box with their unproven starter, they will do it again with Lewis.
Now crawl back in your hole little one, your low IQ is polluting the thread.

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Buffalo Bills quarterback Thad Lewis suffered a right foot injury in Sunday's overtime loss to the Cincinnati Bengals and was in a walking boot after the game.

Lewis said the injury is "just a sprain." He was limping in the locker room after undergoing postgame X-rays.

"They said the X-rays looked good," Lewis said. "I should be fine. That's a great sign."

With rookie EJ Manuel sidelined for several weeks with a knee injury, Lewis started in his place on Sunday, completing 19-of-32 passes for 216 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions.Lewis' first pass of the game was a 47-yard completion to receiver T.J. Graham, the longest play of the Bills' season. Lewis later ran for a 3-yard touchdown on the opening drive.

Lewis said he did not know when he was injured.

"I just got sore throughout the game," Lewis said.

http://tracking.si.com/2013/12/27/thad-lewis-start-ej-manuel-out/?sct=obnetworkBuffalo Bills head coach Doug Marrone announced Friday that Thad Lewis will start in place of E.J. Manuel again, who “did not progress as needed” to start Sunday against the Patriots.

Lewis also started at quarterback last week against the Miami Dolphins, completing 15-of-25 passes for 193 yards, no touchdowns and one interception in the 19-0 win. Lewis has completed 77-of-128 passes for 845 yards with three touchdowns and three interceptions in his four appearances this season.

Manuel has now missed two games due to a left knee sprain he suffered in Week 15 against the Jaguars. Marrone said Manuel will not need surgery but will need rest and strength training in the offseason to heal.

    Thad Lewis - QB - BUF - Dec. 29 - 8:01 pm et
Thad Lewis completed 16-of-29 passes for 247 yards and a touchdown in Buffalo's 34-20, Week 17 loss to the Patriots.
Once again, Lewis wasn't the problem for the Bills. E.J. Manuel's fill-in made quick decisions and avoided mistakes at a rain-drenched Gillette Stadium. Lewis was hurt dearly by a ridiculous T.J. Graham drop on a fourth-quarter 4th-and-2. Lewis inarguably out-played Manuel this season, but didn't exactly bury him six feet underground. Manuel will return as the Bills' starter, though perhaps on a shorter leash. Lewis is signed for $645,000, and will undoubtedly be back in Buffalo. Dec. 29 - 8:01 pm et

http://www.philadelphiaeagles.com/news/article-1/Eagles-Sign-QB-Thad-Lewis/8793fca8-22ff-4685-8a83-26c4c505ac47The Eagles tweaked the roster on Monday signing quarterback Thad Lewis to the active roster and tight end Chris Pantale to the practice squad. To make room for the new Eagles, the team released quarterback Stephen Morris and tight end Connor Hamlett.

The 27-year-old Lewis reunites with offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur in Philadelphia. A former 2010 rookie free agent signing of the St. Louis Rams out of Duke, Lewis was claimed off waivers by the Cleveland Browns in his rookie season and made his first career start in 2012 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Lewis was 22-of-32 for 204 yards with a touchdown and an interception.

In the 2013 offseason, Lewis (6-2, 220 pounds) was signed by the Lions and then traded to Buffalo where he went 2-3 in five games as a starter with both wins coming against Miami.
