"She probably is the epitome of Harnett Central," Ashley Gaines said. "When you think of Harnett Central [High School] if you're a coach or somebody in the community, Victoria Langdon is one of the first persons that come to your mind."

Praise like that doesn't come with out performance and Victoria Langdon delivers even if it's not in all the areas you'd think.

"She does the things that people don't want to do they aren't the fun things," Harnett Central girls basketball coach Chelsey Cabe said. "She might not be our leading scorer. but she'll probably be our leading rebounder. She's our best defensive player we have."

Langdon is a senior at Harnett Central. She plays basketball, volleyball, soccer and track.

"You name it she does it," Gaines said, who is the volleyball coach at Harnett Central. "She gets to practice early, she makes sure everyone is ready and goes. I know if I'm ever late for practice or have a meeting I can tell Victoria 'hey this is what we need to do at the start of practice'."

When Langdon isn't playing one of her own sports, she's cheering on everyone else's. Langdon is the leader of Harnett Central's Gold Rush student section.

"She's like the true definition of what a Trojan is," Cabe said.

Langdon helps plan out all of the student section themes through the football season which includes promoting them on social media. During the game she'll lead the student section and run the school flag up and down the stands after the Trojans score.

"Today it's hard to find a kid that maybe doesn't have a private agenda or they don't look at everything about them," Cabe said. "Victoria looks at the large picture of anything that she does. How can I be successful but also help everyone around me be successful."

Langdon has a 4.3 GPA and hopes to study in college to be a teacher. Her achievements in the classroom, community and in athletics earned her WRAL's Tom Suiter Extra Effort award.

"I feel like there's a lot of love and community here," Langdon said. "I want to do whatever I can to play the biggest role in the community that I can."
