The N.C. State Wolfpack women’s basketball team will make its first Elite Eight appearance since 1998 on Monday night against the UConn Huskies.
Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET Monday at Total Mortgage Arena. The winner goes to the Final Four in Minneapolis. The N.C. State-UConn game airs on ESPN with Ryan Ruocco, Rebecca Lobo, Holly Rowe and Andraya Carter on the call.
A win for the Wolfpack would secure the program’s second Final Four appearance in school history and its first since 1998.
As of Sunday afternoon, betting website Bovada lists UConn as a 2.5-point favorite for Monday night's game.
The Wolfpack's Sweet 16 win over Notre Dame marked the team's third time this season coming back from a double-digit deficit to win a game. The team also accomplished that feat after trailing by 14 points in the fourth quarter against Louisville and by 12 points in the second quarter at UNC.
N.C. State (32-3) enters Monday’s game on a 13-game winning streak. NC State is 1-3 in NCAA Tournament games against UConn.
UConn (28-5) is also on a 13-game winning streak.
Five Wolfpack players are averaging double figures in scoring in the 2022 NCAA Tournament: Raina Perez (12.7), Jakia Brown-Turner (11.0), Elissa Cunane (11.0), Diamond Johnson (10.7) and Kayla Jones (10.3).
