as all schools do the Pack has their whiny fans -but I am looking forward to next year at home next year-we have Clemson and Louisville at home and FSU and Notre Dame on the road and the UNC game in Raleigh-I would like to add a non-conference game from a power 5, it is nice to go watch an automatic win with teams like S Alabama, Old Dominion ect but when a big name opponent comes in it magnifies x 10 and the excitement is at a high level

Of course there's moaning and beeatching going on, and Penn State has a right to be upset. Heard some speculation that the last time a lot of teams were upset about the bowls, the BCS system was ditched and they went to this playoff format. Also heard the possibility of a six-team format, where the top two teams get a bye. There will always be teams feeling they got hosed (like Penn State), but four teams in the playoffs just doesn't cut it. They could work it out if they really wanted to. We all know $$$$$ talks, and you-know-what walks.

Agree with ya 100%! Hate it for the Nittany Lions & Michigan. Penn State got the shaft, and this is precisely why I can't stand the current format. It's not fair to the players/coaches, not fair to the fans, etc., but those calling the shots could care less about that. The insulting part is when they attempt to sell this bag of garbage with a straight face. Give me the FCS playoffs 24/7....at least they earn it. I'm a football fanatic but I'd rather watch March Madness than "Flavor of the Month" bowl games. lol
They need to ditch the conf. championship games, reduce the reg. season schedule, and do some serious expanding....eventually to 24 teams to make it legit. Four teams is a waste of time. The ESPN $$$$ train rumbles along.

Agree about the conference championship games. The current playoff system is supposed to value those (ironic that Penn State got left out if this is really the case). The ACC would be a more equitable conference if it didn't have divisions; this would alleviate the current imbalance in the teams' schedules. State had to face Clemson, FSU, L'Ville. Not a State fan, but it's not fair to have such an imbalance in schedules.

Penn State just made the selection committee's job a lot harder. We need an eight team format. There will always be a team left out, but four isn't enough. Not a fan, but would love to see a Michigan/Alabama matchup
— Posted by StunGunn
In this jacked up format, I'd leave OSU out. Penn State won the B10, beat the Buckeyes earlier in the season, and they deserve to go, imo. I'd go with 'Bama, Penn State, Clemson, & Washington. They need to ditch this joke of a system and do some serious expanding. It's still pretty much a mythical title until they make some serious changes. But then, OSU and Michigan are getting hosed. This is what happens when those in charge can't figure things out and do what's best for college football as a whole.
I'll take the FCS playoffs 24/7 versus meaningless bowl games. I do think the 'Skins would give all 4 of 'em a run for their $$$$...lol

I saw a picture a few weeks ago where Browns' fans held up a sign "Give Us Alabama". Of course everyone says no matter how BAD an NFL team is, there's no college team that could come close to beating them. I just thought it was funny. Also saw a picture of a fan who had all the names of the QB's the Browns have had in the past several years, on sticky notes, going down his back. And there were so many names, the notes went all the way down his back. It was hilarious.
— Posted by StunGunnLOL......tough being a Browns fan. Sometimes, you just have to laugh about it, Gunny!

I love latter December, love football, FBS playoffs Army/Navy game try to watch all the bowl games many as i can, some of the early bowls, the teams that are playing such as App. St is more from the heart. Now the bowls are set Starting sat its lots refreshment, kick back on the couch and don't bother me.
— Posted by Maxwell Silver IIII also enjoy the Army/Navy game. There's something about it, and I usually pull for Navy. Don't care to see 6-6 or 7-5 teams play. Too many bowls, but that's to be expected in the "everybody gets a trophy" world we live in these days. Teams with fewer than 8 W's don't deserve a bowl.....cheapens the product when average to lousy teams get to go.

guarantee more people are for expanding it 8 now than a month ago-a little pow wow with all parties involved and multiple dollar sign could sway, Big 10 and Big 12 conf champs not involved should help all six bowls could be involved the week before Christmas with prime games quarterfinals new years weekend play out semi's, maybe its dreaming

The playoff contract between ESPN & the BCS...they could renegotiate if they wanted to but the presidents and commissioners are content. All it would take is a little pressure but they're not going to do that at this point. Besides, it runs through 2026.
Get used to the 4-team playoff, aka the next mythical champion. The FCS has no problems doing it the right way but I do enjoy hearing the excuses related to the CFP. They get their $$$$ so they could care less.
Excuses - exams, long season, etc. - they could make it happen if they wanted to. Every other sport & division makes it happen.....lol -

I hear sports people on xm say they can't go to 8 teams because of the contract-who is the contract with and whoever it is -8 teams means more money and money talks-each conf is in and then 3 at-large will be invited -this year it would have been 5-conf. Ala.,Clemson, Penn st ,Washington and Oklahoma three at large would Sou Cal, Mich, Ohio St---------------------------
just thinking out loud which is better that the committee where everything is behind close doors -
