    Have to be honest, Mitt. I honestly don't care for the individual who took shots at McCain. Thought it was silly & very disrespectful to do that. Could have and should have been handled differently, imo.

    The whole situation was quite interesting. He raises the black power fist on Sunday and disrespects women on Wednesday. I don't believe he meant it like that, but as we all know he ain't the smartest and consistently fails to convey his thoughts with any eloquence. He may be my favorite player, but I have no issue with taking him to task for what he said.

    {WTH?!}We have the anti-black power people coming to the defense of the black power guy, and in doing so attacking the racist reporter. Those same people claim to be defending our troops, and at the same time embrace a draft dodger who insulted a fallen soldier's family and said POWs aren't heroes.{WTH?!}

    Exactly. Looks like the kind of player who could easily be distracted. I'll give him credit for the SB but that's about it.

    Just like the Panthers piessed that one away in SB50.

    I remember seeing pictures of Broadway Joe in a lounge chair by a pool surrounded by beautiful women. THAT was his preparation for the SB lol.

    He made the prediction for the SB but really what did he have to lose- Colts were the better team, they piessed that one away

    LOL.....alcohol does that to a person. When his name comes up, I roll my eyes and move on to something else. He won a SB so hat's off to him. I just get annoyed when "football experts" act like this guy invented the game.

    I read a long time ago that- Vince Lombardi's wife said it use to irritate Lombardi about Namath -this kid has so much why is he piessing it away, said he wish to have coached Joe and straighten him out.

    I think Cam learned he lost some fans and a sponsor, so he'll be more careful about what he says. I was surprised that a young guy like Cam didn't expect a female reporter - someone who is paid to know football - to know about routes, etc. I do think Cam learned to be more careful in his pressers.

    That reporter does have some dirty laundry, and I don't think she expected people to dig into her past tweets when she made the stink about Cam's response to her.

    Joe was drunker than Jennifer Lawrence at the Oscars. If Joe was as serious about his football career as he was chasing women, he would have actually earned his way into the Hall. Oh-no...

    well espn can be your best friend and then turn on you in a heart-not defending what he said, but we live in a PC world, guess each time you are asked a question you need pause think about it and say let me think about it, i will get back to you-next question-if you make one slip up, its headlines

    Impressed with Cam's apology. Yes, it was late, and he was probably pressured to do it, but he seemed very sincere. Good for him. I saw a longer clip of the presser, and after saying it was "funny", to hear a question about routes from a female, Cam did answer her question in detail. Time to move on!

    To put this in perspective, while I don't like what Cam said, and his body language was disrespectful towards the female reporter, this is not a show stopper. I don't believe Cam meant to be mean spirited. Cam does a lot of community services, and is a good guy. I agree that the media is jumping all over this. Cam is the face of the Panthers franchise, and what Cam says, does, as well as how well or poorly he plays football will be under scrutiny. This just goes with the territory. I'm still a Panthers fan, and this doesn't change my opinion of Cam.

    a lot of the players are like kids, just don't learn, remember a couple years ago -Joe Namath stepped in it, what he did was disrespectful, he got away with a lot of krap back when he played but now -no no no-some of these guys don't think in front of the media - the media doesn't care about reporting the news, just waiting to ponce on something they can make into a big headline.

    Yeah, B, I couldn't believe my ears when I heard this gem from Cam yesterday. The reporter said he did NOT apologize when she spoke to him after the presser; the NFL, however, said he did apologize. This isn't what the Panthers or NFL needs, considering all the other garbage going on. Ratings show a lot of women watch the NFL. Can't wait to see the attempt to spin this one. Cam, you shouldn't "ruffle the lion's feathers". Wonder if hindsight will be "50-50" on this one.

    He just doesn't get it. Holy cow! Maybe one day he will be a leader of men versus a leader of boys. Can no longer tolerate the silliness involved with NFL. MLB gets it !!!
