    Haven't heard anything about Logan either, since the AAF went bust. Haven't heard the afternoon boys talking about his return on Friday afternoons or Saturday mornings. If he doesn't have a coaching gig, I'd imagine he'll be back on the radio.

    TWO more weeks to football! Looked at Carolina's football schedule and it looks like all but two games will be on the ACCN. We cut the cord, and HULU is going to carry the ACCN, but no one in Customer Service knows when it will be active or how much it will cost. I imagine they will start out with a reasonable rate and then stick it to their subscribers.

    Yep, Max, it's finally football season. Cooler temps today make it feel like fall, even if it's only temporary.

    Finally got the ACCN - they're covering every sport for every ACC school. HULU isn't charging for it.....for now. Watched the special "The Class That Saved Coach K". Not a Duke fan, but it was interesting seeing the guys from the 82-87 years reminisce about the "good old days". Lots of history in ACC basketball.

    You bet, Max. It was an UGLY game, and in the first quarter their D looked just like last year's. Two false starts by the offense in ONE play, and the boneheaded penalty by the D when South Carolina was getting ready to punt. Gave them a fresh set of downs. BUT: Howell is going to be a good QB, and he's got some good receivers to pass to. The D did make some good plays. I think Miami will hand them their rear ends on Saturday, but was very happy with last week's win. I really like Mack. He's learned a lot in all his years coaching, and he's learned things besides the Xs and Os.

    Before we lose power, here are my predictions. They're the same as your's Max. I wish one wasn't, but gotta go with my head over my heart:
    VT over Old Dominion, Syracuse beats Maryland (think it will be close), Pitt beats Ohio (close as well), WF beats Rice, UVA over Bill & Mary, State over Western Carolina, BC gives Richmond a headache, Duke recovers from loss to Bama and beats NC A&T, ECU over Gardner Webb, L'Ville beats E. Kentucky, GT over USF, Miami beats UNC, (no dancing for Mack), Clemson over Texas A&M (Trevor Lawrence has a better game), FSU beats La Monroe, Dame beats New Mexico. These were pretty easy to pick.

    Miami will probably win and may cover the spread-who knows-not sure if they are as good as people were saying, with Miami and VT not looking sharp it may be UVA's division to lose, hard to judge Duke against Alabama, GT could finish in the basement, not about Pitt. Its to early to get a gauge on the Coastal-now I would pick-1-UVA 2-Miami 3-Pitt 4-VT 5-Duke and UNC tie 7-GT
    The Atlantic-Clemson still looks darn good-2-Syracuse/NCSU tie 4-FSU/BC tie 6-WF 7- Louisville that being said it will all blow up. after week 4 we can start judging teams better.

    13 and 2 with my picks. Can't believe the way FSU struggled. Really surprised at how bad Syracuse looked yesterday. Happy for the Heels. The penalties killed Miami. Miami led in all categories except the final score (and penalties)

    iNational media fell in love with Syracuse and Miami before season, when I hear an announcer say football is better when Miami is or ACC needs FSU to be great I don't buy into it, I think its always good when a team like Boise upsets the apple cart, if Boise is on TV I will watch. Since Miami has been in the ACC they have mainly been mediocre, this is the third year I have been hearing the media say "the U is back" Miami better start trying to play good FB and forget about all the hype of yesteryear, need to rebuild the program instead of just proclaiming we are back. The ACC media and national think Syracuse is this program that has great history, they have not been since the days of Jim Brown and Ernie Davis-just my rant for Sunday after college FB-

    Right now in the the Coastal #1 UVA, 2-Pitt, VT, Duke,UNC, Miami (fight it out) GT bring up the rear.
    In the Atlantic-1-Clemson-2-NCSU & BC 4-Wake, Louisville-FSU and Syracuse not looking good
    some of these teams could redeem themselves, after a couple more weeks should get a better idea-

    AB got what he wanted. He will be a good little boy in New England.
    Looking forward to the Pack/WV game. The first two didn't prove anything IMO.

    Miami defeats Bethune Cookman-----GT edges Citadel---Wake and UNC in a tight one, will go with the home team (this could go either way)---- Duke will take care of Middle Tenn. -------------NC State will have a tough one at WVU, if was a night game I would lean toward WVU-will pick Pack-----Va Tech beats Furman------ Pitt will lose to Penn St--------Clemson take care of Syracuse--Louisville beats W. Kent.----BC will hammer Kansas----wow hard to believe how FSU has fallen-UVA and FSU--(this one is hard, somewhere FSU will make a statement-I pick UVA- The UNC/Wake, the NCSU/WVU and UVA/FSU are tough to pick-would not be surprise if I get all 3 right or I could get them all wrong.

    T - agree that BB is The Master,and it had to have been in the works. That said, BB should have done a background on AB. The timing of this is strange. As much as I think AB is a clown and I'm a female, something stinks about this one. She wanted him to invest 1.6 Mil in her business. He said she said. If she's lying, she just hurt so many women. As much as I can't stand BB and have no respect for AB, innocent till proven guilty. Can't judge this issue on his past.

    BB has wanted AB for months - since he left the Steelers. By waiting, and all the drama, BB got AB for next to nothing. Nothing to do with the current situation, but I hope AB is gone. Punk. If he is guilty, hope there's justice.

    No one ever talks about the patriot defense over the years. Look what they did to the Rams in the SB? Without AB they are hard to beat. With AB even tougher. It all boils down to how much constant pressure you put on Brady. That's why the Giants were so successful, but you have to get them out of NE in the playoffs.

    its hard to get a judgement on the ACC-Clemson is on top but who knows-Media were all over Miami, Syracuse and UVA-now it looks like BC and State may finish 2-3 in the Atlantic , The coastal is all over the place, GT is the only team that can rule out as of now, is UVA for real? The new standard for Miami is to be over-hyped then somewhere during the season they will fall flat-I remember years ago Mike O'Cain had a guy on the bench that was called the team motivator-if the head coach and his assistants need help getting the team pumped up for games-its a bad sign, a few these symbolic items such as the Miami turnover chain is a detractor to the real purpose of the game-TO WIN-I see where FSU did away with the turnover backpack-do not throw them away- Willie may need them after this season.

    Agree, T. Cupcake city just to become bowl eligible for a second tier bowl doesn't mean anything. Having said that, I'd love to see Carolina in a bowl again. Going to be tough this year though. I figured Wake would be tough, but the Heels play Clemson this year. State plays them every year, I know. Surprised at the WV/State game.

    I think of big 4 fans-especially triangle teams getting tired of the the Ball States, Citadel and so on. I would like to see State play some teams we have never played before-such K-State, TCU, Auburn and so on, I looked at future schedules, it is not encouraging, I have been to every home game since 1982-thats 37 years but I think this my last year year going to all the games-gonna just go to a couple or so each year-conference and go on some road trips to away games-went 7-3 last week -don't think the Pack is as good we thought after first games but I think they are better than they looked after WVU-they just played sloppy ball, may be time to look at options at QB if not I hope Matt can get his game together, he seems to lose confidence and has a hard time getting it back-I believe Pack will defeat Ball St. but don't be surprised if Ball St. doesn't test them.

    Max - I agree with what you said about State's scheduling. They need to play tougher teams to start the season. I'm not talking about what Cut did playing Alabama (I think that's nuts - too demoralizing for players, etc.) I thought for sure State would beat WVU last week, and I agree they're better than they looked/played in that game. I also think State will get better as the year goes on. Carolina also got a wake-up call last week. Wake is a better team IMHO.

    Frustration I guess. Starting out 0-2 with both losses coming at home will do it you. First reporter will ask a question and then the next 3 will ask the same question. That is annoying, but everyone will say coach or player was rude and out of line. I really think fans think players can play forever.

    T - totally agree about your college teams. It's sad that this may be the end of Cam. The Panthers never gave him the O-line he needed to protect him. It used to be a lot of worry about him running, but he's getting beat up staying in the pocket. He never got the calls Pretty Boy got, so even the zebras didn't do him any favors. I don't think Cam will be happy unless he is playing. He's the face of the franchise, but I've wondered how he would have fared with another team. All that physical talent, and it does seem like a career that is too short if it's over.

    Just heard Skip Bayless say he loves the way baker Mayfield plays the game.He sprints down the field after a TD, he takes a hit and gets in the defender's face, he does the airplane running down the field, and he plays the way farve played with passion. cam does it he will get crucified. Pretty boy turned his tv off last night because of the penalties. Let us play. Dude you have some nerve. NFL made rules just for you. When you get hit the first thing you do is look at the ref for a flag. So tired of him!!!

    P Wake Beats Elon, The Miami and FSU game are interesting I will go with FSU and Miami but will not be surprised if its the other way-UVA wins over ODU -BC beats Rutgers-Syracuse over W Mich. UCF beats Pitt (I would love to see Pitt win)-Clemson pounds Charlotte-State and UNC should win-I do not think Ball St will roll over for State, App St. will give UNC a good game but probably lose late. Will Pick Georgia and ECU to win also.

    I think its time for the Panthers to turn the page, Maybe a new coach, trade some players, I turned on Panthers when they shoved Steve Smith out the door, Smitty was a leader and Cam wanted him gone its now backfiring-do not watch NFL hardly but still like Redskins and Steelers, I like Tomlin he is straight up guy.

    10-2 over the weekend, Surprised by Pitt, App State is a solid football thought the home field would be the advantage. Pack was hot and cold Saturday, Matt doesn't seem comfortable, glad to see Jacoby Brissette have a solid day-16 straight completions

    Like Tomlin. Look at all the drama he kept in house with AB and LB. Man deserves a medal for that!

    Max - I hated when the Panthers showed Smitty the door. I like Rivera. Saw Cam is out again for week 4. Allen did a great job against a bad Arizona team.

    Carolina deserved to lose that game. App is good, but not that good. Heels can't keep waiting till 4th qtr to score. Bit them two weeks in a row.

    Lets be honest Middle of the pack schools schedule so called weaker schools because its one step closer to six wins. After awhile it will come back and bite you. Clemson could have hung 100 on Charlotte.
