    watched Oregon and Utah, I read Oregon said they would avenge the 38-7 drubbing Utah put on them, if you call making it 38-10 avenging well done Oregon-- I was really impressed with Utah, whoever they play in the Rose bowl will have a problem.

    Big 10 Iowa vs Michigan--- would love to Iowa beat Michigan-committee would implode lol S.E.C.--Alabama vs Georgia I think Georgia will win but a Bama win would put kinks in playoffs Big 12- Baylor vs Oklahoma St.--- this game has a lot of implications to playoffs committee lol ACC-Pitt vs Wake only thing on the line here is which bowls they go to- winner goes to Peach Pac12-Only prize here is the Rose bowl Utah is challenging to that right-what happened to USC
    Winners- Georgia over Bama-Pitt over W.F.-Okla St over Baylor- Oregon over Utah --Mich over Iowa

    I remember when Chuck was coach, he had darn good talent, he had difficulty retaining good assts. I believe he was hard for assts. to work with, was a control freak, DD is opposite he has darn good assts and stays out of their way, game control is where he is, with Gibson and Beck he has two good ones. He seems to be players coach and has created a family atmosphere with his players.

    Max - I saw that as well and was wondering why they started the game in progress with that blocked punt. I found those announcers to be very annoying. Roddy Jones and some other dude that does fantasy for ESPN. I guess the color analysts are supposed to give their opinion. I heard opinions of their opinions on the radio after and had to laugh.

    Yeah T - Duke looks like the best team. They outplayed the Zags, and I just read they didn't win by a ton against a team that just started up. It was a good game, but Duke was clearly the better team. Banchero is the best college player I've seen in a long time. He looks NBA ready. He should go #1. The seven-foot toothpick on Gonzaga is good, but not nearly as polished as Banchero.

    Max - I think Pitt will win as well. I'd like to see a good game for once.
    T - yeah - Clemson turned it around and should be back next year.

    Wouldn't be surprised if Duke goes undefeated.
    Well ACC football enjoy this year because I'm pretty sure Clemson will be back next year. After all they still finished 8-3..

    I wish the color guy would not try to officiate the game and quit talking so much. ESPN keeps trying to schedule games close together, a lot of time they overlap, watched a replay of State/Unc, that must have been the case because it started with play with the first blocked punt.

    The winner of Wake/Pitt will get Peach or Fiesta- then the loser and State will get either Holiday or Cheez-it- then it will Clemson an Miami for the Gator and Mayo, UVA,UNC,, Louisville will vie for Sun, Pinstripe and Military BC to the Fenway, VT will probably go to Gasparillo. . I really think Pitt will win Saturday and go to the Fiesta against ND, Cheez-it I think will choose State due to their fanbase bringing lots of fans, Wake will be in the Holiday-If Wake win they will end up in the Peach and Pitt to the Holiday. Clemson to the Gator and Miami to the Mayo, UNC to the Pinsripe, UVA to the Sun and Military will get Louisville. whatever the final these 10 teams will end up in these 10 bowls. I told someone, if Leary throws to the left corner of the endzone and Emeka Emazie is there something good will happen. Watch a replay of several games, I wish the play by play man would quit trying to have an interview with someone while the game is going, I wish the color guy would quit

    Wake didn't look great in their win against BC. It was a sloppy game. The Wake/Pitt game should be good (hope so - other games that I thought would be good turned out to be duds). Hartman/Pickett are two very good QBs, and the ACC had some very good ones this year. State should be looking very good next year - they'll still have Leary and Carolina, Pitt and Wake will have to break in new QBs.

    The ACC should get a lot of bowl bids, with Wake and Pitt getting the best. State is up there too. State fans should be happy with the season, especially considering they lost two key guys on defense so early in the year.

    QBU - State usually does well in their bowl games - should be win #10.

    Not sure why the Pack struggled so much with the run this season.....so many times the stretched thin defense would get stops and the offense would let them down by being stuck in the mud...
    D coordinator deserves major credit, and the D recruiting has been outstanding....
    thank goodness for Leary playing like an All-Star!
    Now its time to get that 10th win!

    Proud of the Pack, loses of Wilson,phagin & CJ early, Moore and others, this team stuck together lot on defense returning next, lot of next level guys stepped up this year. That was a weird game, UNC defense played their game from the ones I had seen, offense is limited to Howell, Downs and a few others, even down by nine, I seen a path to win but had score quick and get the on side kick, ended up almost scoring to quick, today conclude a year when acc refs were the worst I have seen- hope BC can pull a miracle today or Pack will probably go Holiday bowl in California, Dabo finished 4th this year. I use to like Herbstriet and Davis but both have Become pompous, watched a podcast with Mark May and Lou Holtz, that's when game day was a great show. Got to out my e some Burgandy and gold today, hate pulling against Wake but it is what it is. Last thing revisit the targeting rule, if a player purposely uses his helmet call a personal foul but if it's a football move leave it alone.

    Well, I am NOT happy. Blowing a nine-point lead with 1:43 left in the game???? The Heels HAD that game and snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. Wake can be beat - Heels proved that. Wake isn't favored by much; they are the better team, but they better bring their A game or BC wins. I don't want to see Clemson in Charlotte either. Gotta give them credit for getting their ish together and turning their season around, but they've been in the spotlight enough.

    Corso is so past his prime. He bumbles through the broadcast and Herbstreit tries to help him out. I like Herbie, but yeah, they like the Ohio States, Notre Dames, Alabamas. Glad Cincy won and look to at least make the playoffs. Hope Georgia beats the you-know-what out of Alabama in the SEC championship game. Talk about smug - Saban in the embodiment of smug.

    The season did go fast. In a Covid world where it felt like Groundhog day with each day feeling the same as the previous day, time went by fast.

    Last week of FB coming up- man it went quick, man I am hoping Clemson doesn't slip in the back door, if State and Wake lose, Clemson goes to Charlotte- Dabo is hailed as a genius, probably wins coach of the year gets a big raise. Dabo reminds me of Cam Newton, winning its all smiles, losing its pouting-- when he loses he has that pouting look on all over his face-- one game and Ohio St is better Georgia according to ESPN. I am thru venting - on to thanksgiving - T-Gun have a nice thanksgiving.

    one week to go, I don't Wake is as bad that game made them look, Clemson has improved but Wake Forest is still a very good Football team- that being said If Pack can pull out the Friday, I will have to pull hard for BC to beat Wake. Bowl scenarios-- Pitt,Pack or Wake to the Peach, either W.F, Pack or Pitt to the Cheez-it and who is left out will go to the Holiday-Gator -- Clemson- UVA, UNC or Miami to the Mayo -Sun or Pinstripe--BC to the Fenway and Louisville to the Military -GUARANTEE this will all change by Sunday?? I have noticed the pundits are trying to get ND in the Playoffs- you should always be nice to the elderly that being said I met Lee Corso at a bowl game a few years ago, the guy is complete anus - very arrogant, snobby, what he said about Cincinati was not called for, I used to like Herbstreit and Rece Davis, that whole crew is very pompous, for them its all about the so called blue bloods. Gonna be some good games Friday and Saturday.

    Wake Forest looked like they forgot how to play football against Clemson yesterday. I think it was a rare time when State fans pulled for Clemson. I was really looking forward to the game, but it was a dud. If Wake loses again, the door is wide open for State to get to the ACC Championship game.

    Things are a mess in Durham - the wheels came off Cut's team. I read Cut isn't looking toward retirement, and it will be a tough call to let him go.

    I'm glad Howell sat out yesterday's game. It wasn't televised, but I think Maye got some time under center as well as another backup. Howell is gone next year, and that is the best thing for him. He got beat up this year because the O-Line gave him no protection. You're right about his stock, Max, it did go down this year. He was hyped pre-season as a Heisman candidate. Saw the top five on ESPN and Pickett was #5. The ACC has some really good QBs this year: Hartman, Howell, Pickett, and Devin Leary, although he didn't get any hype, he's putting together a very good season. I agree that Doeren doesn't have much personality - I don't care for him, but he's obviously doing a good job, and the players do like him. He's not flashy like Amato, so maybe that's why they identify with him. I do like Mack, but he's getting too old, and I hope they do get some new assistants. Mack isn't there long term. The Heels are underachieving this year.

    sorry to hear about Howell, I heard he had gotten hurt, I was thinking he might stay another year but he might be better off going pro, his stock dropped this year but still good enough to get a good draft, his stock could go down more next year. Never have been a fan of Mack, UNC was looking for a coach and were not having success with candidate they wanted, he wanted another shot, he crave the glory he got at Texas. I think he will forced to fire some assistants after the season. Doeren is not most personable guy but I think his players love him and would bust through walls for him. The Pack football team seems to be a tight group, they better not overlook Syracuse Saturday night or it will hurt worse than the Wake game. I saw a video on you tube- Pickett is rated as the top QB in the draft, lot of these media types fall in love with a player then he has a bad game, they criticize him to death then move to the next one, remember when Spencer Rattler was the top QB.

    Well, Howell isn't playing in the Wofford game. He has an upper body injury on his non-throwing shoulder. He got so beat up this year. At the end of the Pitt game, he was slow to get up. I feel bad for him, and for his sake, I'm glad there's only two games left; probably only one for him, and that game will be pure hell - night game at Carter Finley. Just when things looked good for Miami, they lose to FSU.

    I used to hold a grudge against Mack for leaving in '97, but Carolina is a basketball school, and he wanted to go to a program where football comes first. Can't blame him for that. There was the football game in '97 that lost a lot of fans as soon as an EXHBITION basketball game started. They up and left. Mack turned the program around, but it may be time for someone younger.

    Heels play Purdue in basketball this weekend - should tell a lot about the team. What happened to Virginia? Not ranked and two losses already. Bennett is a great coach, so he'll get it together.

    Bowl season is heating up, I hope Clemson doesn't beat Wake and Wake lose to BC and Clemson slip in the backdoor, not likely but a possibilty. Working on my Bowl projections for next Monday. It is hard to believe but regular season Football season will be over in 12 days, man that was a quick season, State did not play a single 12 noon game all season, the ACC network is just another redheaded stepchild of ESPN, I wish they did not have so much power over dictating football game times and which network they show them on. I wish the Power 5 conferences would divorce from the NCAA and tie in with networks they could auction games to network and set up the time-- they have the product and TV needs the product, they should be in control, I know monday ramblings, y'all have a good week.

    They will beat Wofford- if not I know some heads are gonna roll. Never have been a big fan of Mack-- I know many fans (UNC) that still don't like it, they brought him back, felt like he abandoned them back in the 90's. That remark he made about the media ranking them to high, he has to look in the mirror, he hyped the right before and during the media days, kind of reminded of Chuck Amato over hyping one of his teams, that remark he made about Akron having lower standards didn't go over well, ironically he ended up as an assistant coach under Terry Bowden there. I think this was suppose to be Mack's farewell tour and its not going as well as he wanted. I haven't watched a Pro game all year, not even sure who is suppose to be the best. I was impressed with Wake Forest, there defense stepped up, even though they gave up 42, they made key stops all night long, Pack looked tight all night. If Alabama beat Georgia they will go to the Playoffs, if they lose their consolation is Sugar bowl.

    Yeah T - very sad for Manny. He played 58 seconds and he's done for the season? I hope he can play professionally - he's been a record setter at State.

    Looking forward to the State/Wake game tonight. The Carolina/Pitt game was the tale of two halves. Heels almost pulled it off. So many stupid penalties. Coaches could do better with teaching discipline. Mack always looks mad on the sideline. Only time he smiled was when they intercepted Pickett. Definitely missing something on the coaching staff. Good thing there's only a few games left because Sam Howell is taking an absolute beating. Speaking of beating, they BETTER beat Wofford if they want to go to a bowl. Bowls have become a joke unless they're the playoffs. So many players opt out.

    Yeah Gunny juts win six games and it's a great season. Hard to keep up with it, that's why I don't. Just pay attention on who wins there conference and who wins it all.

    Yeah headline his last home opener. He is eating this up but says he doesn't like it. yes you do. I'm not watching one second of a duke game this year. They won't lose a home game...

    Wow Max - I'd need to be a math major to keep up with all the possible bowl bids, not to mention who will win the Coastal. At least UNC has a chance after beating Wake. What a crazy game that was! Total score of 113! Defense was no where to be found. My kind of game.

    I think State's D will take care of Wake, but I haven't good in my predictions. Heels are a 6.5 dog to Pitt. That will be a tough game. Pitt is good.

    The K Farewell Slurpfest has begun. The "last time" he begins the season in MSG, blah blah blah. I do think Duke will be very good this year. It looks like Duke, FSU, and then the middle tier and the rest. We'll see.
    Football season is flying by.

    Pitt, UVA, Miami, and UNC still have a shot at the coastal--Pitt: win out --Miami: win out and Pitt lose one and UVA lose 1-- UVA just win out-- UNC first win out, Pitt lose two more and Miami lose one more and UVA lose one more. If it goes to multiple tie breakers -- who knows???
    The Atlantic is a little simpler--Wake or State just win out, if Pack loses to Wake they are out, if Wake loses to State just win out and hope for a Pack loss. Clemson: Beat Wake and hope Wake lose another and State loses two--- Wake and Clemson end up with 2 losses, possible State, Wake and Clemson end up tied

    Big game-- for the Pack- biggest in several years- probably best wake team of all time-especially offensively- not an end all for the Pack but a win would be monumental for their physic, Wake is an offensive machine defense is a little weak-Pack is more balance. limit the number of possesions for wake and get the offense clicking.
    All the Pack players are giving their all, have lost many defensive players-- not just players the heart and soul of this team, Peyton Isaiah, Phagon Baker- Williams and Savion Jackson were out the last game and many others are out for the season but the old next man up theory has work for the Pack, Drake Thomas was considered # 3 linebacker ,,Peyton,Isaiah, Drake line up, now he is the leader others have stepped up. Announcer has said DD has done a great job switching a player to different position and watching him excel. Jacoby Meyers for one. A special hats off to Trent Pennix- reminds me of J-Sam,Trent is a great young man, so glad for him.

    Watched the women's State/USC game yesterday. Two good coached teams. USC had there entire roster back. Those women are good.

    the football season is approaching the 3/4 line and Coastal as usual is up in the air, Pitt controls their Destiny but with a little help others can jump in. The Atlantic is Wake or State's to win, they control their destiny, couple of other teams will need help. This week and next weeks game are going to be interesting. BC beat VT last night and their QB is hurt, after today have to re-evaluate the conference. 10th week bowl reports will come out next week.- the fun all begins in a few hours.

    Well I think the ACC is multi-sport oriented- Clemson, Miami, VT , FSU, are strongly Entrenched in football, Duke, UNC UVA, Syracuse and Louisville lean strongly toward Basketball- but both groups take an interest in the other major sport. NC State, Pitt, BC, Wake tend to lean toward FB in a moderate way-- GT who knows - they have won championships in both, I would say they are viewed as a BB school but prefer to be a FB school mainly due to the competitive nature of Georgia in their own state. I have heard it said the ACC needs Miami, FSU, VT and Clemson to be good- that is the media perspective, I think it would be great for other schools to build up their FB image and also great for the conference-- that is my 2 cents -- penny for your thoughts.

    I really like Hartman, but playing in the ACC is a detriment, not a positive. Hard to tell what will happen, but as usual, even the best teams in the ACC will get decent bowl bids, and win or lose, will be forgotten for the SEC. We're still viewed as a basketball conference.

    Top 3 QBs in the ACC are Armstrong, Hartman and Pickett--Armstrong has an arm and that can drop a pass on a dime, Pickett was the media darling when Pitt when was rolling the wins up, all Hartman has done is lead his team to victory after victory-most improved QB Pickett and Leary, out of nowhere QB Armstrong- top 3 QBs preseason was Howell, King and DJ, they have dropped to near the lower half-- just shows you don't don't believe preseason hype by ESPN or any other sports outlet. I think that as many 11 ACC teams could make a bowl this year. Miami seems to be better than thought. two of their losses to UNC and UVA could have been victories. Looking at the Packs losses Miss St with victories over Tex A&M and Kentucky (both ranked) not looking as bad as did earlier-- seems like is was only a day or two ago that Va.Tech and UNC game people were trying to annoint Va Tech as the best team in the ACC looking back it was probably the best game they played (crowd has a huge impact).

    Well, Max, so much for my prediction in the State/Miami game. The Wake/Army game was great to watch. I like offense, and that game was all offense and no defense. I'd say Wake could give State a tough game, but it didn't look like their D was very good allowing Army to score 59. I hope Clausen stays at Wake. He's done a good job, and their QB Sam Hartman is for real. Pitt's QB Kenny Pickett is getting all the love. Sam Howell has dropped a few notches with Carolina struggling. I hope Georgia wins this year - anyone but Alabama.

    well trip to Miami did not go so well, there are no locks this year, except maybe Wake and Pitt but I would not bet on them in a conference game. Louisville game coming up will be tough especially with Isaiah Moore out, not a plethora of injuries this year but key ones have hurt now its next man up. N.D. will probably beat UNC, not because they are that great but home field advantage will be the difference. Wake will take out Duke, Cutt may bow out gracefully after this year. He was good for Duke he got them back to a respectable position but its time for a coach similar to the Wake coach. Would not be surprised if somebody tries to poach him away from Wake. A school with a pedigree could probably do it, with Sou Cal, LSU, and a couple of others maybe Miami-- there will be a trickle down.

    Max - Pack will beat the pants off Miami. They may try to put up a fight, but they don't have the horses. The analysts on Game Day last week mentioned how good the Pack's D is. Locally, Packer and Durham talk up the Pack and reminded us that the Pack's D is thriving - after losing two of their best defensive players for the year. I read bowl predictions (forget the source - maybe Bleacher Report?) and they had Carolina in the Gator Bowl. Are they kidding? The Heels are in real danger of not making a bowl at all. I only see the Wofford game as a W, and they better not sleep on them. Wake, Pitt and State is a murderer's row of games. They never should have lost to FSU. Never. They were a 17.5 point favorite, with FPI 77% chance to win. And they lose. I really like Mack, but he may be past his prime. I give him credit for turning the program around and generating interest (don't know why the Miami game was so poorly attended, with a 3:30 kick, though).

    who would rank as the five best in the ACC this season-seems like Pitt is the media Darling at this point. I would go 1- Wake (un til they lose if they do) 2- NCSU (un til they lose) 3- Pitt 4- Clemson by default they haven't looked all that good but they are 4-2 at 5-2 UVA is at 5. Interesting games this weekend, Wake at Army I have two predictions picking Army -think Wake will take it. Pitt vs Clemson could go either way- Pack visits Miami-- this is a scary game Miami has put up points, seen one guy picked Miami 34-21. Hope all goes well for the ACC this weekend I will pick Pack,Wake, Clemson this weekend--

    The ACCN had a great special on ACC football in the 80's where UVA and GT were really good and had the best football game against each other in ACC history. It was so cool to see the coaches back then. The ACC was viewed as a basketball conference (and maybe still is, although it's been a while since the ACC won a Championship in basketball).

    Max - the media has respect for the Pack )I watched College Game Day last Saturday, and 3 of 4 not only picked the Pack, but they spoke of the Pack's D). Fans picked the Pack by 74% for the BC game. But I think Vegas needs to wake up. They favored the pack by 3 in the BC game. I thought that was way too low, but BC was thought to be a good team (they may be, but the Pack had their way in the second half). So now I see the Pack only favored by 3 against Miami. Are they KIDDING??? Miami is on their third string QB and their best RB is out. Is Vegas trying to change the betting line? State wins in a laugher.

    Clemson has definitely has not lived up to their hype, got a good defense through, it held that Georgia offense out of endzone gotta give them kudos for that. their offense has struggled, I watch a lot of media heads on you tube, they always bring that Miss St game up but its never mention that Pitt lost to W. Michigan, its ok just keep under the radar and win your games, Pitt should have been in the top 20 before now - Wake is looking good surprised they are only 3 point favorite to Army, UNC, Clemson were the odds on favorite to win their division, now they may struggle to finish 3rd, I may be wrong but I think Clemson-Pitt will be a low scoring game, now the elephant in the room, Pack better be ready for Miami (they are like a wounded animal) they will fight tooth and nail to the end. UNC is off and then play N.D. Wake and Pitt before a shot at Wofford they need at least 2-2 will get them in a bowl. I think that Cutt will gracefully retire after this year, he has been good for Duke.

    Max - I see the media giving the Pack respect. Beating Clemson isn't the big deal it once was, but State is ranked, and they're winning games. Looking at their schedule, I can see them winning out. They don't have to play Pitt in the regular season. I can see a Pitt/State ACC championship game. Losing to FSU may cost Carolina a bowl bid. They have a tough schedule ahead with only one cupcake.

    T - yeah - I saw that about K. You're right: just don't go to the games next year and keep your yap shut. No need to announce you don't want to be a distraction, because even saying that IS a distraction.

    hoping for a Red Sox -Braves W/S may try to go to one game, went to game 6 in 95 when Braves won the W/S 1-0 --I am a little torn about Dodgers/Braves game, I like Trea but like the braves too. Media is still not giving the Pack any respect, last night was a big win but now you have to back it with a win at Miami- this Pack team seems to be having a lot of fun. who knows how the situation gonna end up in the ACC-I think Pitt probably the inside track-Wake has the edge in the Atlantic, still lots if games to be played.

    Oh yeah, T, the let the slurp fest begin. ESPN and others will be taking part in the farewell tour and K will love every minute of it. This will be worse than the Zion love fest.
