    Very glad Georgia won, Great story with Stetson going from walk-on to National Champ. Good for him. Surprised Saban was so gracious in the loss.

    Shocked but very happy for Miami beating Duke in Cameron. Didn't think it would happen. Wake made it interesting for a bit last night, but Duke won.

    Hope you feel better, Max. Not sure if you have Covid, but it looks like almost everyone will get the Omicron before we're on to the next strain. Tough times.

    Dawgs are kings, I been under the weather since Jan 1, haven't left my house but watched Dawgs over Bama, not a Bama fan but don't have a strong dislike for Saban, walk-on vs Heisman- he usually takes a loss graciously but so rarely happens, it's the Bama fans that are so arrogant. At least my FCS favorite team won it all. Football 2021 is officially over.

    Haven't watched a Duke game either. Packer and Durham were trying to talk up the Miami/Duke game tomorrow- at the Farewell Gym. Yeah right. Gimme a break.
    State women whupped my lady Heels last night. Wes Moore had the quote of the year in the post game presser. Can't really say it here, but he said he was too tough on his team and he shouldn't be a " buuut whole" . It was really funny. Guess his team not to be like that and they all laughed at his comment.

    I remember him last year saying this is tough on my young kids not having fans. Cancel the game or move it to Tech. Its all about him. They do have the talent but the entire world thought the same thing about Gonzaga last year. Sticking to my guns and haven't watched the worship tour this year. Talked to a K worshipper yesterday and I mentioned the game . He told me to be quiet and kept walking. Yeah you know it wasn't right. Please lose....

    EXACTLY, T! How hypocritical can you get. Can't go to class in person, but let's pack the Farewell Tour Gym so we can all worship K.

    PLEEEZE - anyone but Duke to win it all. Thing is, Duke is ranked second and they do have the talent to cut down the nets in April.

    I don't think there is any doubt who the top two teams are now. Alabama didn't play their best but had enough fire power to keep swatting the Bearcats away, UGA totally dominated Michigan. ESPN provided something good last night and I know it wasn't their intentions-- they had multiple coverage on all their networks-- I watched it on sky cam ESPN U , no announcers- the stadium P.A system was miked up you could here him thru the TV--it was clean-- not a lot of jibber jabber conversation between play-by play and the color guy-- trying to tell useless stories about something two week ago. I really enjoyed the game.

    Well, after watching yesterday's dumpster fire Duke Mayo bowl, I wish that was the Bowl that got canceled. Mack should have to eat a gallon of Mayo after that performance. I like Mack, but I think he needs to join Roy on the golf course. He just stands on the sidelines looking mad. I hope they find a new DC because their "defense" was dreadful. Non-existent. Offense wasn't much better. Poor Howell took another beating. Feel bad for the guy and I hope NFL teams realize he had no protection from his O-Line.
    I can't remember the last time I saw a GOOD football game - college or professional. I hope the Georgia/Michigan game is good. Don't expect much from the Bama/Cincy game.

    LOL. They did change their lineup. Adam and Joe "divorced" almost two years ago. Now Adam and his producer Alec have the 12-3 slot and Ovies and Joe Giglio (from the N&O) have the 3-6 slot. I like hearing about our local teams, which is why I listen. I don't miss DG at all.

    I was listening to 99.9 The Fan when the news broke and I thought they were joking. I read this morning that the Bowl is scrambling to find an opponent for State. If Washington State and Wake Forest can find new opponents, I hope it works out for State. There's teams out there disappointed their Bowl was canceled - c'mon - make it happen! I can't imagine how the players and coaches feel HOURS before kickoff. And the fans who paid big bucks to see State play!

    4 and 5 star recruits have one thing on there minds, NFL and NBA and I'm sure they are taking hard classes. Coaches can care less. Win ME some games. Playing in a bowl that means nothing means nothing to them..

    Lot of these guys 5 Star and some 4 stars, are told they are can't miss future pro's, if they go pro in a year or so and flame out, that early money is gone, getting a degree is so valuable, wish they could see that value early, but agents are pushing dollar signs and the glam life, the agent could care less, if 1 out of 10 make it big every year they are set.

    Yeah T - but that loss isn't on Keats. I can't even really think of valid reason. You're right though: some of these guys think they're better than they are. Probably told since middle school they're better than MJ, or with this generation, LeBron.

    Right Gunny. Hubert played for Dean Smith, and Pat Riley. What more does these guys want. I think they think they think they are better than what they are for some reason. Whatever with State. I like Keatts also but losing to Richmond and Wright State at home?

    You're right T - it's Duke and then a big drop off in the ACC. Hate to see the ACC so bad in basketball. K is lapping it up. Please, anyone but Duke to win it all. Heels didn't look sharp last night against App State. I see them splitting with State, getting their rear ends handed to them by Duke. They have more talent than they're showing. Roy couldn't get them to do what he wanted and it looks like Hubert is having trouble as well. I thought they'd relate better to Hubert - he played in the NBA, he sat next to Roy for years. What more do these guys want? Heard some freshmen - Dunn and Styles are frustrated they aren't getting playing time. They'll probably enter the transfer portal if they don't get what they want. Bacot is this year's Garrison Brooks, but other guys need to step up.
    Surprised State lost last night. They won't let Keats go - he's done a good job so far. It's just frustrating seeing these teams play below their talent level.

    Yeah, Max - Add Saban to that list, and with the way the Panthers look, Matt Rhule. Pro and collegiate sports are just different animals. Meyer was just a complete dumpster fire in Jacksonville. Between hiring a racist assistant, staying behind after his team lost in Ohio and having a blonde that wasn't his wife having a good time in the bar, kicking a player (ironically their kicker), and telling his assistants they were losers - gotta feel for Trevor Lawrence. The NFL changed their rules and teams can interview for coaches sooner.

    Packs game against UCLA will be a sign for next year, Iggy may or may not play in Bowl. Person will be gone next year maybe Bam too, everybody else will be Be back, curious how adjusting to west coast will effect Pack, couple years back they played Ariz. St. In sun bowl and did ok. Not into Basketball yet, usually takes till about January to get into it. I hope KK can get things together, he is easy to like, would hate to see him let go. I think Urban Meyer is one those coaches that doesn't have it for the pros, great college coach but he is not the first, Lou Holtz, Steve Spurrier also were not ready for it.

    Always a believer in it doesn't matter what school you attend the scouts will find you. Mcnair, Doug Williams, Jerry rice, Walter Payton, Mean Joe, Wentz, Allen in Buffalo etc..
    Yeah Gunny UNC got there rear ends handed to them. UNC hasn't been good for a few years now. Its all about the recruits and Duke is still getting them. ACC basketball is terrible right now and you're right Gunny k is loving it. Still haven't watched a k game and not planning on it.

    Yeah Max, I believe there is a lot of talent on lower tier teams in football, and some in basketball as well. The Heels looked terrible against Kentucky from start to finish. Watched part of the Duke/Elon game. This is the best Duke team I've seen in a long time. They have players that not only will be playing in the NBA next year, they look like they could play THIS year. Big drop off between Duke and the rest of the ACC. K must be loving it.

    That QB for Montana State is dam good-- it seems to me that FCS QB's are better at fundamentals than FBS QB's -- I found Matt McKay (former NCSU QB) was the starting QB for Montana State the entire year and as soon as regular season was over, he went into the portal.

    watched Bowl games yesterday-- MTSU-Toledo was a decent but Coastal vs N.Ill. was a great game and then the night cap N.D. State vs JMU was a great game-- Glad the Bison pulled it out- I have very fond of the South and North Dakota team- 3 teams made the final 8, Bison are going to the Championship game, Montana State and S.D. State play this afternoon - pulling for S.D. State. Matt McKay was starting QB for a while but got replaced and he has gone the portal route.

    Yeah T and Max - the ACC began the season with something like seven teams in the Top 25, not it's just Duke. Carolina is improving, but I agree with them not being ranked at this time. State is scrappy and Seabron is a beast.

    Hate to see what the ACC has become in basketball. The B1G has been winning the challenge the past few years. There will be a changing of the guard with K retiring, and Laranago and Boeheim can't be far behind.

    I remember when the N&O had this huge expose on V and State's B ball program. In the Survive and Advance 30 for 30, a former member of the NCAA flat out said State was not guilty of the serious allegations. The players sold sneakers and tickets. What a price the program paid for that. V had such a personality - guy could do stand up. Agree that he was the best, and unfortunately, the worst for State. But that '83 team.....

    Yea I love the Army-Navy game, I love watching FCS finals-- Good football this week-Coastal plays Friday night and N.D.State vs James Madison play Friday night also-Saturday-- App State plays their Bowl game later its Montana St vs S.D. State -The Dakota's and Montana always have great FCS schools--Love nicknames like the Bison, the Jackrabbits, Grizzlies I will watch.

    On Valvano, I have said it was the best and worst thing to happen to State, he could coach no doubt that and he was probably the best bench/game coach every to grace the ACC Lefty being 2nd. Valvano got instant fame in "83" went on talk shows, book deals and so on, he started JTV enterprise and took his eye off the BB program and left it in the hands of people incapable of steering the ship, trusting wrong people, his celebrity status had made some enemies of a certain publications, he had to be taken down a notch this is where the downfall began- it cost him his job (both AD and Coach) I still believe he could have straightened the ship but it was a mountain, most of the allegations (proven untrue) and the untruthful book had done its damage and the University to the easy route--The BOT decided V and State deserved to be punished, it killed the BB program for over 25 years and still feels the tremers that began way back then.

    Five hankie 30 for 30. I have a friend who went to State in '83. She said V lost sight of what was important when he did the talk show circuit and didn't give his full attention to the players and program. That '83 team has to be the most iconic in college basketball.
    College basketball is my favorite, but I see how you feel, Max, takes a while to change from football to basketball.
    Big changes in the ACC with Virginia, Virginia Tech, Duke and Miami all hiring new head coaches. Looks like Miami hit a home run with their hire.

    I like the Army/Navy game as well. If it's Bama vs Michigan I hope they both lose.

    Good idea about the cafeteria workers, T. I had heard/read that in 2020 some programs let assistants go due to no fans. But you're right Michigan probably has enough $$$ to help out.

    I always watch Army /Navy also. Know a kid that plays for Army, #8 Braheam Murphy. If you guys get a chance google is story.
    Did anybody notice that Texas Southern beat #20 Florida in basketball?....
    I can watch USC Womens basketball and States Womens basketball all day. Love both there coaches.

    December is the end of football for 9 months, I will watch all the bowl games thru Jan 1 if its Mich vs Ala I will fore go plans to watch as I dont care for either one, if UGA is there I will watch in hopes Bama will fall. I love the FCS games, always root for the teams from the Dakota's. Army-Navy is today, being a Marine gotta go for Navy. It takes awhile for me to get into Basketball, kind of watch a little was gonna watch Pack and Purdue but its only available on BTN. John Swofford may have expanded the footprint of the ACC but he put the fans that built the ACC out in the cold and the new commish will just continue on.

    Heard the Pitt QB was going to sit out also. That's another reason why I can't get into all the lesser bowls. I'm sure Emezie from State will sit out also because he is one of the best receivers in the country.

    Can't stand the Harbsugh Brothers either, although "Mr. $8 Kackis"(Jim) did donate his bonus to the athletic department so the coaches who were affected by Covid could get some financial help. Surprised he did it.
    Hate that Cincinnati plays Bama first. Don't give them much of a chance. Agree T - anyone but Saban.

    Heard Howell is playing in the Mayo bowl. I'm really surprised- he has nothing to prove and everything to lose if he gets injured. He opted out last year. What is he thinking.

    I did too regarding UGA. Would love to Cincy/UGA matchup. Can't pull for Harbaugh either. Both brothers are annoying crybabies.

    Disappointed that Bama beat Georgia. Saban is riding high again.

    Mayo is good for Carolina, considering it's so close. The bad thing about the lower tier bowls is that many good players opt out. Howell didn't even play last year, so no way he'd even consider it this year.
    Glad the ACC got so many bids, now they have to win.
    Miami did Diaz bad making him wait to see if he still had a job whole they were looking for their next coach. Hope he finds a good gig somewhere.

    Well Holiday and Cheez-it are pretty even, the advantage is Florida is an easier trip, I won't go to California.
