    Closing out football , I heard Brendon Armstrong has a scheduled visit with Pack, he's a blue collar type player, love to have him bridge till MJ is ready.

    That would really stink for Wake. Hartman knows the ins and outs of Wake. This transfer portal and NIL is out of hand.
    The Big Four are two and two in bowls this year. I thought State would handle Maryland, but it's tough to win with all FGs and no TDs, even with the best kicker in the nation playing for State. The turnaround at Duke has been incredible. I wonder how long Elko will stick around because you know higher profile schools will be calling. Clemson got clobbered by Tennessee - what a fall from grace after Trevor Lawrence left.
    Really disappointed that Carolina lost to Pitt. All that returning talent, and this is the result?
    Tonight's bowl game with OSU and Georgia should be a good one. I think Georgia will win.

    ACC is now 3-0, I remember years ago and I mean many years ago, there was talk about having a bowl in Raleigh and call it the Tobacco bowl, that wouldn't fly now.

    Heard Sam Hartman is in the transfer portal. I thought he was going to the NFL. Heard ND is a real possibility. I hope not. While ND isn't in the ACC in football, they play five ACC games each year and it would really stink if they played Wake if Hartman is at ND.

    That's a lot of bowls for the ACC! Oregon is favored by 13. Last I saw, Duke was tied up at 7. Was listening to the radio and Heyes Permar is filling in for Adam Gold. He brought up an interesting point: a state as big as NC could and should host more than the "Mayo Bowl" in Charlotte. Raleigh is certainly big enough with tons of restaurants and hotels. Why not host one in Raleigh?

    ACC 2-0 so far 7 games in next 3 days 2 games today, 2 more tomorrow and finish with 3 Friday

    Started out the week watching N.M. St play Bowling Green, it was a great game, looking forward to 3 games today. ACC doing great 2-0 so far.

    I haven't watched any bowl games yet. Between the transfer portal and players going pro, it's hard to figure out who will even play. I watch the Panthers and that's it for the NFL. College sports as we knew them are history.
    You have a Merry Christmas as well, Max. I still hate to see the football season end, but basketball season more than fills the void for me. Then there's Canes hockey, but I only get a very few games because I have HULU. I'm always glad when August rolls around. A lot of people feel that spring is a new beginning, but to me it's fall because sports start up again.

    Merry Christmas and happy New Year to all, I've watched several bowl games so far, couple of blow out, particularly enjoyed Ore. St blasting Florida, beaver's are the red headed step child if the PAC 12. Some tight games also, next week will be good, in a couple weeks college football is gone for 8 months. Have not watched a single NFL game this year.

    I read Devon Leary will get $800,000 to play at Kentucky. This NIL is out of control and completely crazy. I wonder what Drake will be paid to stay at Carolina. The toothpaste is out of the tube and there's no getting it back in.
    I'm not sure how many bowl games I'll watch. Between the transfer portal and guys leaving for the NFL, a lot of these games are meaningless money grabs.

    I think Coordinators move more than actual coaches, I thought the Pack women would have a down year this after losing some great players from last year, Wes had added some key additions but they are as good as his last 3 teams. I was noticing that Britany Griner has not express thankfulness as being back on USA soil or anything about the Marine that is still being held in Russia, I think has mentioned she is gonna play basketball this year. I watched bowl games yesterday, I was glad N.C. Central beat Jackson St, Watched N.D. State and S,D. State win their games, they play for the championship in Frisco Tex, love watching FCS games especially when those two teams are involved.

    Banghart seems to open her mouth to change feet. She's said a few whoppers regarding State. She is doing a great job coaching, though, because State and Carolina are equally ranked. We'll see how it goes as the season progresses. She just needs to coach and stop giving State bulletin board material. I agree with you about Reynolds - that is as iconic as Cameron Indoor, maybe more so if you think back to the David Thompson games. I have gone to games at both Reynolds and the PNC, and while you can't compare the atmosphere, the PNC holds more fans, and that means more $$$, and we all know the driving force behind sports is $$$.

    Carolina found a new OC, The article said he's 35 and has coached offenses for 20 years. So, he's been coaching since he was 15?? There's a mistake in there somewhere. They touted his experience, but it seems he only stays at schools for a year or two before moving on. I hope he's as good as advertised.

    With TV coverage, the younger fans (40 and below) don't have connection with attending games in person, when I lived in Raleigh, it was must see event at Reynolds and Carter Finley. Reynolds is not the same place but it still one of most iconic arena's in the south particularly, and also national treasure. I think that's why some took offense in what Banghart said last year, mainly about not understanding the history the building has with the ACC.

    I think State did get the OC from Syracuse and they did get the 7 footer in basketball. Good times ahead for State.
    Carolina finally played better and beat GT. I was watching the 0-8 Louisville basketball team play the 1-9 FSU team. I'm glad FSU won, but this is not a typical Hamilton coached team. Louisville looked dreadful, and I'm hoping Carolina gets to play them twice - but it won't do anything for the Quad wins. Not a fan of that metric. There was no one at Tallahassee to watch the game - sad. I know it's still considered at football school, but the stands were empty. Feel bad for the players.

    I saw the Pack may be hiring O.C. from Syracuse, I like the choice if it happens-- got my fingers crossed only 3 players have signed up in the portal- Pack lost a big man in BB not sure how long but I saw where they got 2 coming in 6'11'' guy and a 7 footer that may play this year. Army/Navy today, starting next friday bowl season-3 weeks of football almost non-stop.

    Yeah Max, sometimes there's no figuring how the voting goes. Drake Thomas will continue to do his talking on the field, and the heck with the votes.
    I thought I heard that as well about Mack and Longo having disagreements. I was hoping Longo was the Head Coach in waiting, Mack, please retire.
    The ACC Comish Jim Philips may be smart, but he is so wishy-washy. Not a good choice. I fall asleep during his pressers.

    I read where Mack and Longo had some disagreements, I saw where Drake Thomas was 2nd or third in voting for defensive player of the year but was on 2nd team all-Acc, if there is a better linebacker in the ACC-- who is it!

    Have to say I'm really surprised Longo is going to Wisconsin. Wisconsin may be a step up in football, but he had Drake Maye still on the roster at Carolina. This transfer portal is ruining college sports. I get it when a student/athlete wants to leave, for various reasons, but this is like free agency in the NFL and NBA. I like to watch Pro sports on Sunday, not Saturday.

    That's a lot of local bowl games, Max. I think UNC will lose. They always seem to lose their bowl games.
    I wasn't happy when I saw Grimes is leaving. He is a good player. I think the Heels have at least six guys in the portal, but I'm glad Maye isn't one of them. He is a good guy. I wouldn't have blamed him if he left.

    9 ACC teams going to a Bowl- all 4 Tobacco Road teams are going to bowls plus App St and ECU. The N.D. affect takes away 1 Bowl from ACC, if they are not in it for football, we are seeing the results of Swofford kissing up to N.D., I would the New Commish would give N.D. the ultimatium, in all the way of out all the way but from I have seen he doesn't have the nads to do it. Clemson/Tennesee will be a good game in the "South Carolina consolation Bowl" I look for FSU to win their bowl game, Wake over Missouri, UNC will have hands full with Oregon, UCF vs Duke and State vs UMd will be tight games, Syracuse, Pitt, Louisville lose.
