Quarterback Sam Howell is expected to be among 12 North Carolina Tar Heels players scheduled to participate during Monday’s Pro Day.
The UNC event gives the players an opportunity to impress scouts and other NFL personnel.
Howell, kicker Grayson Atkins, running back Ty Chandler, offensive lineman Joshua Ezeudu, defensive end Tomon Fox, linebacker Jeremiah Gemmel, offensive lineman Marcus McKethan, defensive back Kyler McMichael, defensive back Patrice Rene, offensive lineman Jordan Tucker, tight end Garrett Walston and defensive back Myles Wolfolk are scheduled to participate.
Players are expected to check in at 9:15 a.m. Monday to have their arm, hand, wingspan, height and weight measured.
On-field testing is set for 10 a.m. Monday with the 40-yard dash, position drills, vertical jump, broad jump, pro agility, three-cone drill and 225-pound bench press.
Howell, Chandler, Gemmel, Ezeudu and McKethan participated in the 2022 NFL Combine earlier this month in Indianapolis.
Howell is considered ESPN NFL Draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr.’s fifth-best quarterback in the 2022 NFL Draft behind Liberty’s Malik Willis, Pittsburgh’s Kenny Pickett, Cincinnati’s Desmond Ridder and Ole Miss’ Matt Corral.
The draft is scheduled for April 28-30.
It’s unclear which NFL owners, general managers and coaches will attend UNC’s Pro Day on Monday considering the the league is hosting its annual owners meetings in person for the first time since 2019. The Annual League Meeting is scheduled from Sunday through Wednesday at The Breakers resort in Palm Beach, Florida.
The ACC Network plans to broadcast UNC’s Pro Day starting at 10 a.m. Monday.
