Two Carolina Hurricanes players are ranked among the NHL’s top 50 players in the new “NHL 24” video game due out next week.
Center Sebastian Aho is rated a 90 overall and right winger Andrei Svechnikov is rated an 89 overall in the EA Sports video game due out on Oct. 6.
“NHL 24” will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Despite Aho’s 90 ranking, he is not among the top 10 centers in the video game.
Edmonton Oilers center Connor McDavid is the game’s highest-rated player with a 97 overall rating.
Svechnikov is among the top 24 players younger than 24 years old. Also, Seth Jarvis is the 24th-rated player among the “top 24 under 24” list with an 83 overall rating.
Canes goalie Frederik Andersen is among the game’s top 10 goalies with an 88 overall rating. Tampa Bay Lightning goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy is the top-rated goalie in the game at 93 overall.
On Wednesday, the Hurricanes beat the Florida Panthers 4-1 in their second preseason game.
The Hurricanes open the 2023-24 regular season on Oct. 11. They'll host the Ottawa Senators at PNC Arena.
