San Jose, Calif. — Carolina Hurricanes center Sebastian Aho sat out Tuesday night's 6-3 win against the San Jose Sharks due to an upper-body injury.
Hurricanes coach Rod Brind'Amour said after the win that Aho "did something at the end of [Sunday's] game," a 6-3 loss to the Anaheim Mighty Ducks.
Brind'Amour also said players who aren't 100% won't play considering how early it is in the 2023-24 season. He also said Aho would be reevaluated.
It's unclear how many more games – if any – Aho could miss.
The Hurricanes (3-1-0) play on the road against the Seattle Kraken at 10 p.m. ET Thursday.
Aho, 26, has a goal and three points on the season. He signed an eight-year contract extension in July.
