Take a look at the minute-by-minute updates for the first round of the NFL Draft. After a round of action, just one quarterback is off the board and the Carolina Panthers got the offensive line help they so desperately needed. UNC quarterback Sam Howell figures to be the first Triangle player off the board on Friday when the second and third rounds get underway.
11:36 p.m.: With the 32nd and final pick of the night, the Minnesota Vikings take Georgia safety Lewis Cine. With the pick, Georgia's defense had the most first-round draft picks of any ever with five, passing Miami
11:30 p.m.: The Cincinnati Bengals take Michigan safety Daxton Hill with the No. 31 pick, and with just one pick left, still just one quarterback is off the board.
11:23 p.m.: The Kansas City Chiefs take defensive end George Karlaftis from Purdue at 30.
11:21 p.m.: The Patriots make a pick at 29 that's a little on the nose: Cole Strange, an offensive lineman out of FCS UT-Chattanooga.
11:14 p.m.: The Packers take the fourth Georgia player of the night, all on defense — this time it's defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt at 28.
11:06 p.m.: With the 22nd pick, the Jaguars take Utah linebacker Devin Lloyd.
10:58 p.m.: Florida State edge rusher Jermaine Johnson goes 26th to the New York Jets after a bit of a slip down the draft board.
10:52 p.m.: Iowa center Tyler Lindenbaum is nabbed at No. 25 by the Baltimore Ravens.
10:45 p.m.: With the 24th pick, the Dallas Cowboys take offensive tackle Tyler Smith out of Tulsa.
10:38 p.m.: The Buffalo Bills take Kaiir Elam, a defensive back out of Florida, at 23.
10:31 p.m.: The Packers take yet another Georgia defensive player, nabbing linebacker Quay Walker at No. 22.
10:26 p.m.: The Chiefs take Washington cornerback Trent McDuffie at No. 21 overall.
10:20 p.m.: The first quarterback is finally off the board as the Pittsburgh Steelers took their hometown quarterback Kenny Pickett at No. 20 overall.
10:12 p.m.: The Saints take an offensive lineman, Trevor Penning from FCS Northern Iowa.
10:07 p.m.: Roger Goodell officially announces that the Eagles traded the 18th pick to the Titans in exchange for A.J. Brown, but with the pick, they took Arkansas wide receiver Treylon Burks. He's the sixth wide receiver taken in the first 18 picks with still no quarterbacks off the board.
10:00 p.m.: The Chargers take Boston College guard Zion Johnson, who transferred to the Eagles from Davidson, at No. 17.
9:55 p.m.: The Washington Commanders take Penn State wide receiver Jahan Dotson at 16. He's the fifth wide receiver taken in the first 16 picks.
9:48 p.m.: The Houston Texans get Texas A&M guard Kenyon Green at 15.
9:41: The Baltimore Ravens get Notre Dame safety Kyle Hamilton at 14th overall, a steal for a player many think could be the best out of this draft class.
9:36 p.m.: Elite Georgia defensive tackle Jordan Davis goes 13th overall to the Philadelphia Eagles.
9:30 p.m.: The Lions take Alabama wide receiver Jameson Williams No. 12. Williams is the third straight wide receiver and fourth overall wide receiver off the board.
9:24 p.m.: The New Orleans Saints take the third wide receiver of the draft and the second straight from Ohio State, taking Chris Olave 11th.
9:16 p.m.: The New York Jets pick Ohio State wide receiver Garrett Wilson at No. 10.
9:08 p.m.: The Seattle Seahawks draft the third offensive tackle in the first nine picks, taking Mississippi State offensive tackle Charles Cross at No. 9.
9:01 p.m.: USC wide receiver Drake London becomes the first skill position player off the board, going No. 8 overall to the Atlanta Falcons.

8:43 p.m.: The Carolina Panthers are on the clock!
8:42 p.m.: Oregon defensive end Kayvon Thibodeaux gets taken No. 5 by the New York Giants. The pick was made by a lifelong Giants fan, Sam Prince, a Make-a-Wish winner. Thibodeaux was supposed to get drafted a few picks higher but the late push by Travon Walker pushed him down the board a bit. The top five players have all been defensive players.
8:35 p.m.: The Jets take Cincinnati cornerback Sauce Gardner at No. 4 overall, marking the fourth straight defensive player drafted so far. It's the first time the first four players drafted were defensive players since 1992.
8:28 p.m.: The Houston Texans took LSU cornerback Derek Stingley at No. 3 overall, marking the third straight defensive player selected and giving the SEC two of the top three picks. NC State offensive tackle Ikem Ekwonu was mocked as high as No. 3 overall, but the Texans decided to go in a different direction.
8:22 p.m.: Michigan defensive end Aidan Hutchinson goes No. 2 overall to the Detroit Lions, keeping the streak of defensive ends picked in this year's draft to two. Hutchinson, who was the runner-up for the Heisman Trophy, is a Michigan native and gets to stay close to home with the Lions.
8:18 p.m.: The No. 1 overall pick is in and it's Travon Walker, a defensive end from the national champion Georgia Bulldogs. Walker isn't the best-known name on the Georgia defense, and failed to earn All-SEC honors on the first or second team, but he played his way into the position and rode a strong combine to the to top pick in the draft.
8:11 p.m.: The Jacksonville Jaguars are now on the clock.
8:07 p.m.: After NFL commissioner Roger Goodell basked in a chorus of boos amongst the Las Vegas fan faithful, he decided to go ahead and open up the 2022 NFL Draft. Well, after he brought up Raiders' quarterback Derek Carr and tight end Darren Waller, which most of the assembled fans did not care that much about as most of them are not Vegas natives. And after he brought up Ice Cube.
