    Oh yeah, Max, FSU got screwed, and so did the ACC. Like you said they were ranked 4th, won ALL their games, and then Alabama and Texas jump over them. Really stinks, and the committee showed what they think about the ACC. The ACC went from a Power 5 to a Group of 5 with that decision. Jim Phillips did his usual wishy washy reaction. The ACC needs a Commissioner with the "Footballs" to stand up for them. Phillips ain't it.

    Well ACC had 13 team go to bowl game-counting SMU and Cal. I reading about the FSU situation, something seems fishey, after FSU beat N.Fla with a 2nd team QB they were still ranked 4th, after they beat Florida with a second string QB, still ranked 4th. they beat #15 Louisville with a 3rd string QB, their 2nd string will be available for Bowl game, If they still # 4 after beating N.Florida and still # 4 after beating Florida, why did a undefeated P-5 conference champion get snubbed, something not right, my understanding is they had not decided in several votes saturday night but next morning FSU was out and Bama was in, I don't like Sankey, he seems like a slime ball to me, what he would do would not surprise me.

    UNC got the Mayo. Could have been the Ty-D-Bowl. I don't have my hopes up. I hope Drake doesn't play. It's not worth the risk.

    Well Louisville going to Holiday bumping Clemson to the Gator, Pack in Poptart, Duke in Gasparilla, FSu Orange, unc probably in Mayo or Pinstripe

    Doeren should get ACC COY, and Wilson the defensive player.

    I'm disappointed that Elko left Duke. Thought he'd stay. And to sneak off in the middle of the night, well, that just stinks. A move like that makes me glad players can transfer easily. I'm still not a fan of the Portal. It's like these guys are free agents, going to the highest bidder. But how can we expect loyalty in players when coaches show none.
    Congratulations again, Max, job well done. They get an A+ and Carolina gets an F.

    Max - I picked State to win this game way back when Carolina was 6-0. For the life of me, I can't understand why Carolina doesn't take this game seriously. I expected at least a close game. Carolina was off from kick off. I do blame Mack for not preparing his team. What an embarrassment. Maye didn't look good, but like you said, State's defense had something to do with that, but he hasn't improved this year, and Carolina's coaching might have something to do with that. I wish Mack would retire, but he seems set on returning. What a shame. I don't see Bubba showing him the door, but he should.
    I'm not a Doeren fan, but no one can argue that he has done a remarkable coaching job this year. To turn his team around after that Duke game, is just amazing. There's talk of Concepcion going to the highest bidder, but Doeren told the fans to open their wallets to keep him. Also hats off to Armstrong. He could have sulked, but he manned up and did what was best for the team. Kudos.

    Packs bowl options seem to be Pop Tart, Relia or Gator, anywhere but the Holiday, Pinstripe, Fenway or Sun. I hate to see Elko leave Duke, he had it going, Steve Spurier Jr. has been mention as a possibility.

    I was gonna go to the Game saturday but looking at the forecast, I decided watching it at home on TV was the better option, Payton Wilson should be ACC defensive player of the year and if KC the freshman of the year, watching Wilson progress thru the years has been a joy to watch, seeing how much better KC has gotten from 1st game to game 12. Will Mack be back probably but I think he has to dump Chizic, Maye was not impressive Saturday but the defense had a lot to do with that, Im kinda looking forward to next year as a lot of young players are coming on defense, a lot of young RB's and WR's with potential, some attention needs to address in O line it probably was the weak part this season. I think Mack has to revamp things, reset instead of bringing in 4 stars and expect to excel off the bat, bring in some coaches that can develope.players. Will be anxious to see how the portal affect things, I have seen projections of Unc going to the Mayo, Gator or Sun.

    Pack or Unc will finish 3rd depending on last game, I really like this kid Conception, hope he stays a couple years, hope we keep Tony Gibson, he is a darn good co-ordinator, talking about possibility of Pack vs LSU, Carolina vs Tenn.

    Max - I think State wins out and Carolina flames out. They squeaked past Duke, who was on their third string QB (he did look pretty decent). Carolina never seems to take State seriously, and I don't know why. Clemson has rediscovered themselves, and the game is at Clemson, so that won't end well. Mack has done a lot to re-energize the program, but he needs to call it a day, and take Chizik with him.

    I understand M.J. wanting to save an extra year, I think it will let Armstrong finish up his college career playing on the field, I think DD will pick up a QB in the portal, irregardless he will need a seasoned QB in any case, MJ may gets hurt or whatever. Got a freshman QB coming supposed to be pretty good. This team has got a chance to finish 9-3 but remaining 2 games gonna be tough.

    I heard Doeren discussing the MJ situation and he didn't sound happy. It's tough on the coaches and teammates because they wanted him to continue playing. It makes me wonder, and the way Doeren sounded, if he can get another QB for next year, he won't want to see MJ back. MJ must have his reasons, and you can't blame a player for doing what's best for them, but it might make it harder for State for their remaining three games.

    I think showed husband true with the guy on the radio, it was I'm gonna show him. Running his mouth afterwards, it was a good win but. It would tickle me if they lost out not make a bowl but I'm sure they go to bowl.

    Max - Wake is terrible this year and I don't see them giving State trouble.
    Glad Carolina beat Campbell, but it's a D-2 school, so it's nothing deserving of a top 25 ranking, but here we go again. Carolina should beat A Riley-less Duke, but you never know. Then it's Clemson and State, not easy games. Dabo is all full of himself again after beating ND. Crazy season with teams losing and winning games they had no business doing. The ACC is Florida State and everyone else. Hope they make it to the playoffs.

    Mack isn't the only one getting Fiesta, Dabo getting a touchy also, everything is fine with Dabo when everyone is praising him but don't criticize him, he will go scorched earth on you.

    Well, Max, your Pack sure did bounce back, and my Heels bounced.....down. Losing to Virginia and then to GT - there's no excuse. Mack needs to go. He even got defensive this week when asked about the back-to-back losses. Can't blame them on the (lack of) crowd. I see them losing to Duke, Clemson and State for a worse slide than last year. The defense is back to being as bad as it was last year. It looks like FSU is the class of the conference. Would like to see them in the playoffs.

    Worse I've seen Pack play all year, I think they bounce back against clemson (sure hope so) weird game, Duke got 301 total yards offense, 2/3 on 5 or 6 plays, defense played good, Big plays killed them.

    There's six criteria to figure out what teams will play in the ACCT is there's a tie. It gets very complicated because not all of the teams will play each other. I wasn't expecting Louisville to be this good. I don't have a good feeling about the Carolina/Miami game tomorrow. Miami is a good talented team and they are angry so Carolina better bring their A game.

    Looks like State will be fine with getting a bowl bid. They have a better chance of beating Duke on Saturday with Leonard sidelined.
    Carolina will be getting an angry Miami team in prime time.

    The guy.that was gonna use his red shirt, was RB Jordan Houston, he saw his playing time dwindling, he has already graduated, he will go somewhere and get more playing time (smaller school) it's better for him and better for State.

    Totally agree about Friday games, Max! They used to wait until the HS games were over to put on Friday games. Now, we seem to have them every week. The NFL used to wait until the college season was over before putting Saturday games on, but that will probably disappear as well.
    State won't have a problem with Virginia - I hope the weather holds up. I wonder why that receiver left the program - it's as if he was never there for State.
    Tomorrow will be a good test for Carolina. They always seem to have a problem with Pitt. Their defense is improved from last year, but their boneheaded penalties continue. I wish they'd clean up that aspect of their game.
    I'm looking forward to the FSU/Clemson game tomorrow, and I'm surprised it's on at noon. FSU had a tough time with BC, so it will be interesting to see how they handle Clemson.

    I thought played solid, it was VMI, I thought Armstrong delivery was solid, probably most excited about is the receiver group, got some good young receivers, I have saw improvememt each week. Big game Friday night, I hate Friday games, should be high school night but ESPN is so greedy they don't care.

    State was in that game after the delay - it was a one score game in the third quarter. Unless State plays FSU, that was their toughest game. If State plays Duke, that will be tough as well. Sam Howell is very smart, polished and experienced. He sounded like an NFL QB when they did a piece with him during College Game Day. I hope he can play on Sundays.
    Carolina looked out of sorts against App State. I don't know if App State is that good or Carolina is that overrated. Maye didn't look like a Heisman candidate in that game. Don't know why British Brooks didn't play - was he injured or did he violate some team rule. He was on the bench and Wes Durham said he was "out for the game". I'm guessing he violated some rule. It's too early to say much, but I think State and Carolina will be good, not great. The surprise this season so far is how good FSU is and how not good Clemson is. Glad Alabama lost!!

    N.D. has got a solid team, better than any acc team not named FSU. State played them solid up until rain delay, that score when play resumed caught Pack off guard. Still State could have pulled it to 24-20 late in 3rd quarter, that Missed FG seem to take some air out of them, giving N.D. 2 possessions in the red zone was a killer. I don't think we are getting the 2021 version of Armstrong unless he turns it around. On the good not, got some outstanding young receivers, Vereen and Conception are the real deal, Timmons look good, I think that was probably our toughest game, so strap it up and play some football.

    Acc should think about adding Wash. ST. , Oregon.St (both are ranked) if N.D. doesn't want to join pick up Boise St. That's 20, I'm afraid Phillips is too gutless. I guarantee it wasn't he forethought to bring in Stanford,Cal, SMU, somebody made that decision for him.

    I'm all for telling ND you-know-what or get off the pot.
    What a weather day for ACC football. Four games had rain delays, and the VT game started at 12, and is set to resume at 6. And I thought State's delay was bad.
    I'm already discouraged about how Carolina is playing App State. It's a home game and should not be this hard. They're also missing British Brooklyn today (don't know why) but that doesn't help Maye any.
    I read that Washington State and Oregon State are considering suing the PAC12. I don't blame them.

    Swofford made a bad deal with ESPN, Disney is always out for themselves, they lock the ACC in just like GR- teams have to pay a hefty fee to leave, not sure why FSU and Clemson and some others were against, they were wanting to leave, if ACC would add Oregon St and Wash St. they could put SMU and the 4 West coast teams where they play each other every year limiting travel, they would have to travel to the east coast 2 twice a year and same for east coast. Its time to tighten the screws on N.D. in or out- If N.D. gets in, with 4 new teams, redo the ESPN contract and make everybody happy.

    Agree about Duke , Max. I'm no Duke fan, but that was a great win for them. I really like Riley Leonard - such a great young man. Mike Elko has really done wonders and I hope a big school doesn't lure him away.
    I don't even know what to say about the ACC adding the west coast schools. I've heard arguments both ways, but the local talking heads think it was a bad move. Things are changing so fast, some say conferences won't matter very soon. After the Tez Walker debacle, I wish college football would break away from the NCAA.
    Cable and streaming services keep raising their rates because Disney/ESPN has to pay the schools due to the contracts they agreed to, "greed" being the operative part of "agreed".
    Will be interesting to see how State and Carolina do tomorrow with their home openers. Maybe ND is up for a letdown and State can capitalize.

    gotta give Duke a big applause, Ranking N.C. my top 5 are 1- Duke 2- UNC/NCSU tied 4- Wake 5-App. St.-- best thing was watching Dabo Squirm, Beamer needs to get his act together or he will be labeled as a whiner. I think the ACC did what they needed to do, they should have added Wash. St. and Oregon St. and made all four west coast teams as rival games.

    Pack looked better as game progressed, uconn 1 drive and 1 broken play other than that Pack kept in check, after first drive Gibson made adjustments.

    Well, I am surprised that the defense stepped up and was a big reason the Heels won last night. Maye had two TD's and two INTs - I think he'll correct those mistakes. All the Heisman hype is putting a lot of pressure on him, so hopefully he can tune that out. Next week App State comes to town, so that should be a great game.

    Congratulations on State's win at UCONN on Thursday! Looking forward to tonight's battle of the Carolinas (kind of, I don't have a good feeling about the outcome).
    So the ACC is now bicoastal. I get the reason, but don't like the implications. We're watching the beginning of the end of college football the way we know it. All about the $$$$.
