Baseball Rankings: Burns closes out regular season No. 1, three new teams join Top-25 poll

Next stop: Playoffs.

Burns closed out a perfect regular season to remain atop the HighSchoolOT statewide baseball rankings. This is the final edition until the postseason concludes.

Ashley and Wesleyan Christian replace Providence and D.H. Conley in the Top-10 while Hopewell, Jordan, and South Central earned big victories last week to vault into the Top-25.

Farmville Central, East Carteret, Apex Friendship, Charlotte Catholic, and St. Stephens closed out the final week of the season strong to earn their way into the Top-15 of the area code rankings.

Rankings reminders:

• Rankings are updated weekly and released on Monday
• All high schools in the state of North Carolina, excluding athletic training academies, are eligible for the statewide top 25
• There is a separate top 15 for the state's six area codes that is also updated weekly
• Rankings are paused during the N.C. High School Athletic Association playoffs
• Final rankings are released the week after the state championships
