In the back of the library at Princeton High School, senior Kaydon Roberson says she loves the community, but there's one thing she loves most of all.

"Definitely my favorite thing about Princeton, is my teammates," Roberson said with a smile. She sure has a lot of them too. Roberson plays volleyball, basketball and softball. A sport for each season. Throw in Beta Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and the Buddy Club, in conjunction with the Special Olympics, and it's easy to see Roberson is busy, but loves what she does.

"What little free time you do get, you just try to use it to the best of your ability. I've learned to not procrastinate and just get done what I can."

So what's she getting done? Being a positive role model for the Bulldogs.

"Not just kids here in the building, but hopefully all around the area can model themselves after her example," teacher and coach Thomas Pilkington said.

Her softball coach, Charley Cox sees that every day.

"I've only known her for three years, but I feel like I've known her my whole life honestly," Cox said.

Three sports, plus travel softball, is a lot for one person to balance.

"And for her to be able to maintain her grade ponit average the way she has? She is the extra effort," Cox said.

Her softball story doesn't end at Princeton, Roberson will play at Meredith in college. She felt at home right away.

"Women empower women. It's just a sisterhood basically," Roberson said.

A sisterhood she now shares with Cox, who also played at Meredith.

"To know Kaydon is to love Kaydon and my life is a whole lot different because I know Kaydon. Oh my God, I'm crying!" she laughed with tears in her eyes.

"We'll be like Meredith sisters, is what everybody calls it, just to continue that legacy, it'll be lifelong."

And that's why Kaydon Roberson is this week's winner of the Tom Suiter Extra Effort Award.
