I know I migh be a little bias but I really don't care.
Sydnei Murphy, has been outstanding the last two years while running track for
Apex Senior High School.Being from the old school of track and field I believe that the MVP of the State Championship should be base on individual performance. I been watching this young lady the for last five year. She come from an outstanding family.
Great parents whom I admire and respect. Sydnei, won three events in the State High School Indoor Championship in Feb,but yet she was not choosing a the MVP of the meet.I know Sydnei, father would say that is doesn't matter. But it does matters to me. Although the young lady that won the MVP did an outstanding job she won the 55 meter hurdle and broke the record, she won the 300 and ran a leg on the winning 1600 meter relays. Sydnei, won the 55 meters dash, long and the triple jump. So you tell me who had the better overall performance? She gave her team 30 individual points by herself.

I also always thought the MVP was decided by scoring the most points as an individual. From year to year there are always a couple individuals who may or may not win the MVP. This year was tough considering both ladies performances thoughout the meet but I'm almost sure it gave judges a hard time choosing. You stated you were biased so I'm guessing you coach at Apex or with her in the summer so don't worry there is still outdoors for Murphy and I can bet she's gonna be just as exciting as indoors especially in those Aggie pits.
