Transfer portal tracker: Offensive lineman from North Texas picks Heels

The latest transfer portal window for college football opened on Dec. 4 for most players. Graduate transfers and those impact by coaching changes can enter immediately.

Some players have made their intentions known. Here's a look at what players are on the move from (and who is incoming to) North Carolina, NC State and Duke.

UNC

TE Kamari Morales: Played in 53 games for UNC from 2019 to 2023. He had 67 catches for 761 yards and 10 touchdowns in his career. Morales had 24 catches for 220 yards and five touchdowns in 2021 and followed that up with career-highs in catches (29) and yards (358) in 2022. In 2023, he had 11 catches for 158 yards. DL Kedrick Bingley-Jones: Played in 26 games for UNC from 2021 to 2023. He recorded eight tackles in his career. After playing in 11 games in each of 2021 and 2022, Bingley-Jones played in four games this season. (New school: Mississippi State)

RB Elijah Green: Played in 27 games for UNC from 2020 to 2023. He had 156 rushing attempts for 664 yards and eight touchdowns. Most of his production came in 2022 when he rushed 131 times for 558 yards and eight scores and added 17 receptions for 107 yards and one touchdown. He had just four rushing attempts in five games in 2023 as Omarion Hampton seized the running back job.

K Ryan Coe: Transfer from Cincinnati played in two games in 2023. He was 3-of-4 on field goals and made eight extra points. He also had nine touchbacks on 12 kickoffs. (New school: Cal)

QB Jefferson Boaz: Played in two games for UNC from 2020 to 2023. He completed both of his pass attempts in his career. UNC confirmed he will play in the bowl game.

WR Tychaun "Doc" Chapman: Played in eight games for UNC from 2022 to 2023. He had five receptions for 128 yards and one touchdown in 2023. Chapman also returned four kickoffs. (New school: Marshall)

RB George Pettaway: Played in 15 games for UNC from 2022 to 2023. Pettaway rushed 20 times for 93 yards and two touchdowns in 2022, but did not have a carry in 2023 as Omarion Hampton emerged as an All-ACC running back and British Brooks returned from injury.

WR Andre Greene Jr.: Played in 11 games for UNC from 2022 to 2023. Greene Jr. had five catches for 43 yards and one touchdown in his career. (New school: Virginia)

LB Randy "Deuce" Caldwell: Played in 21 games for UNC from 2022 to 2023. Caldwell had seven tackles and a sack in his career. He had four tackles and a sack against Virginia Tech in 2022.

OL Justin Kanyuk: Joined the program in 2022.

LB Sebastian Cheeks: Played in 11 games for UNC from 2022 to 2023. Cheeks recorded four tackles in his career. (New school: Wisconsin)

CB Tayon Holloway: Played in 10 games for UNC from 2022 to 2023. Redshirted in 2022. Holloway had 19 tackles. (New school: Louisville)

DB D.J. Jones: Jones will play in the Duke's Mayo Bowl, UNC announced.Played in 42 games from 2020 to 2023. Started career at running back before moving to defense. Rushed for 442 yards in his career.

OT Diego Pounds: Starting left tackle for the Tar Heels in 2023 has entered the portal, according to multiple reports. Pounds, from Raleigh, played at Millbrook High. He was a member of the UNC program from 2021 to 2023. (New school: Ole Miss)

Declaring for NFL Draft: QB Drake Maye, LB Cedric Gray, OL Corey Gaynor, WR Tez Walker, DL Myles Murphy.

Incoming:

QB Max Johnson: Former LSU and Texas A&M quarterback committed to UNC on Nov. 28.

TE Jake Johnson: Former Texas A&M tight end and the brother of Max Johnson played 17 games for the Aggies in 2022 and 2023. He had 25 catches for 237 yards and two touchdowns.

OL Austin Blaske (from Georgia): Played in 18 games from 2021 to 2023 as a reserve for the Bulldogs. Blaske took a redshirt season in 2020. He has played in three games in 2023.

DB Jakeen Harris (from NC State): Played in 29 games for NC State from 2019 to 2023. Harris, a starter at safety, was injured in the 2023 season opener against UConn and missed the rest of the season.

RB Darwin Barlow (from USC): Played in 40 games with TCU and Southern Cal from 2019 to 2023 and has rushed for 993 yards and 11 touchdowns in his career. Played in three games in 2019 (redshirt) and 10 in 2020 (COVID) at TCU before playing the last three seasons at USC.

DB Tyrane Stewart (from East Mississippi Community College): Had 64 tackles and two interceptions in 13 games in 2023.

OL Howard Sampson (from North Texas): Committed to TCU in the portal before choosing UNC. Listed at 6-foot-8, 325 pounds. Redshirted in 2022.

NC State

TE Christopher Toudle: Played in 39 games for NC State from 2020 to 2023. He had 30 receptions for 320 yards and five touchdowns in his career. Toudle did not have a catch this season. He participated in senior night activities prior to the final home game against North Carolina. (New school: Western Michigan)

WR Anthony Smith: Played in 34 games for NC State from 2020 to 2023. He had 13 receptions for 243 yards and three touchdowns in his career. Smith had two catches for 19 yards in 10 games in 2023. (New school: East Carolina)

RB Michael Allen: Played in 16 games for NC State from 2022 to 2023. Had 105 rushing attempts for 519 yards and one touchdown in 2022 and 2023. He added 22 receptions for 163 yards and one touchdown. (New school: UNLV)

RB Jordan Houston: Played in 51 games for NC State from 2019 to 2023. He had 324 carries for 1,392 yards and six touchdowns in his career. He added 60 receptions for 398 yards and one touchdown. Houston, listed as the team's starting running back, announced he was leaving the team in September to preserve his eligibility. He played in three games this season.

LB Daejuan Thompson: Played in five games for NC State from 2022 to 2023. He played in four games in 2022 and one game this season. Thompson had three tackles and a forced fumble in his career.

CB Nate Evans: Played in six games for NC State from 2021 to 2023.

WR Porter Rooks: Played in 49 games for NC State from 2020 to 2023. He had 79 receptions for 891 yards and one touchdown in his career. (New school: Eastern Michigan)

S Jakeen Harris: Played in 29 games for NC State from 2019 to 2023. Harris, a starter at safety, was injured in the 2023 season opener against UConn and missed the rest of the season. (New school: UNC)

QB MJ Morris: Played in nine games for NC State from 2022 to 2023. Started four games at quarterback in 2023 before opting to redshirt and preserve a year of eligibility. Passed for 1,367 yards and 14 touchdowns at NC State. (New school: Maryland)

DT C.J. Clark: Played in 42 games for NC State from 2019 to 2023. He had 72 tackles, including four sacks, in his career. Clark started three games in 2021 before suffering a season-ending injury in practice. He returned from injury to play in all 25 games over the last two seasons. (New school: Miami)

LB Torren Wright: Played in seven games for NC State from 2022 to 2023. He had two tackles in seven games in 2023. (New school: Temple)

OL Lyndon Cooper: Played in 14 games for NC State from 2021 to 2023. He played in eight games in 2023 and was listed as backup center on the team's depth chart. (New school: Pitt)

WR Terrell Timmons Jr: Played in 21 games for NC State from 2022 to 2023. He had 14 receptions for 274 yards and one touchdown in his career. He had 11 catches for 195 yards in 2023, but failed to catch a pass in the final three games of the season. (New school: Colorado)

DB Darius Edmundson; Transfer from Louisburg College, he played high school at Southern Nash.

CB Christopher Scott: Played in seven games from 2020 to 2023. He missed the 2021 season with an injury and moved from wide receiver to cornerback in 2022. He had two receptions and four tackles in his career. (New school: Missouri State)

WR Joshua Crabtree: Played in 11 games in 2023. He also played in three games in 2021 and on 175 special teams snaps in 2022.

OL Jaleel Davis: Joined the program in 2021. (New school: Florida International)

TE Cedric Seabrough: Played in 24 games for NC State from 2021 to 2023. He redshirted in 2021. Seabrough caught nine passes for 56 yards and one touchdown in 2022. He did not have a reception in 2023.

CB Cecil Powell: Played in 33 games for NC State from 2019 to 2023. He played both receiver and cornerback, but missed the 2021 and 2022 seasons with injuries. Powell had four receptions for 30 yards and 71 career tackles.

CB Aydan White: A first-team All-ACC selection in 2022, White played in 44 games for NC State from 2020 to 2023. He had 100 career tackles and eight interceptions. (New school: NC State as White announced he is returning.)

RB Delbert Mimms III: Played in 43 games for NC State from 2020 to 2023. Rushed for 442 yards and eight touchdowns in his career. All eight touchdowns came in 2023.

Declaring for NFL Draft: K Brayden Narveson, TE Trent Pennix, DB Shyheim Battle

Incoming:

QB Grayson McCall (from Coastal Carolina): A four-year starter for the Chanticleers where he completed 70 percent of his passes for a total 10,005 yards with 88 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. Three-time Sun Belt player of the year. He has a single season of eligibility left.

OL Zeke Correll (from Notre Dame): Two-year starter with the Irish, where he has played since 2019.

OL Valen Erickson (from Missouri): He redshirted in 2022 and did not appear in any games for Missouri before entering the transfer portal in midseason.

WR Wesley Grimes (from Wake Forest): Raleigh native played at Millbrook before playing two seasons at Wake Forest. Had 24 catches for 372 yards and five touchdowns for Wake Forest.

TE Justin Joly (from Connecticut): Caught 74 passes in 24 games for UConn in 2022 and 2023. Had 56 receptions for 562 yards and two touchdowns in 2023.

DB Corey Coley Jr. (from Maryland): Played in 27 games from 2021 to 2023 for Maryland. Had 37 tackles and three passes defended.

DB Tamarcus Cooley (from Maryland): The Knightdale native picked Maryland over NC State out of high school, but is returning to the Wolfpack after one season with the Terps.

RB Jordan Waters (from Duke): Played in 50 games for Duke from 2019 to 2023. He rushed for 1,624 yards and 23 touchdowns in his career. Waters set career highs in carries (142), rushing yards (753) and touchdowns (12) in 2023. He also caught 30 passes for 305 yards and one touchdown in his career.

WR Noah Rogers (from Ohio State): Played in two games for Ohio State in 2023. He did not have a catch. Former four-star recruit played at Rolesville High.

DB Devon Marshall (from Villanova): Played in 22 games for Villanova from 2022 to 2023. Had 60 tackles and 13 passes defended.

RB Daylan Smothers (from Oklahoma): From Charlotte, Smothers played in four games for the Sooners in 2023. He had 42 yards on 11 carries.

Duke

Coach Mike Elko left for Texas A&M on Nov. 27. Duke hired Penn State defensive coordinator Manny Diaz, who previously was head coach at Miami, to replace him.

QB Riley Leonard: Leonard announced that he was leaving the Blue Devils program on social media. Several national reports indicate he is entering the transfer portal. Played in 27 games for Duke from 2021 to 2023. Leonard passed for 4,450 yards and 24 touchdowns and rushed for 1,224 yards and 19 touchdowns in his career. (New school: Notre Dame)

DT Aeneas Peebles: Played in 47 games for Duke from 2020 to 2023. He recorded 84 tackles, including 13.5 for loss and 7.5 sacks, in his career. Peebles, from Raleigh, had 40 tackles, including 8.5 for loss and four sacks, in 2023. He also had a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. He was a third-team All-ACC selection. (New school: Virginia Tech)

CB Jaden Watkins: Played in one game for Duke from 2022 to 2023. Moved from wide receiver to cornerback in spring practice in 2023.

S Jaylen Stinson: Played in 48 games for Duke from 2020 to 2023. Had 211 tackles, including two sacks, three interceptions and six passes defended in his career. Stinson also returned kickoffs for three seasons. In 2021, he had two kickoff returns for touchdown.

DL R.J. Oben: Played in 50 games for Duke from 2019 to 2023. Had 67 tackles, including 1.45 sacks, in his career. He added one interception and five forced fumbles. Oben played in every Duke game over the last three seasons. (New school: Notre Dame)

LB Dorian Mausi: Played 44 games for Duke from 2020 to 2023. He had 193 tackles in four seasons, including 2.5 sacks. (New school: Auburn)

K Charlie Ham: Played in 44 games for Duke from 2019 to 2023. Made 36 field goals (50 attempts) from 2020 to 2022, but lost his starting job in 2023. He handled kickoffs in 2023. For his career, Ham had 192 kickoffs, including 96 for touchbacks.

RB Jaquez Moore: Played 33 games at Duke from 2021 to 2023. Moore had 1,121 yards rushing and 11 touchdowns in his career. He also had 11 receptions for 145 yards. Moore rushed for 110 yards and a touchdown against Florida State and 100 yards and a touchdown against Virginia this year. (New school: Duke. Moore has reportedly withdrawn from the portal.)

LB Will Seiler (from Penn): Played in 29 games for Penn from 2021 to 2023. He had 45 tackles and 1.5 sacks in his career.

QB Maalik Murphy (from Texas): ESPN reported that the Longhorns' backup QB, who started two games in 2023, is headed to Durham.

Wake Forest

Wake Forest quarterbacks Mitch Griffis and Santino Marucci entered the portal.
