Too much free time on my hands today. Just came across this old post and cracked up laughing. Shawn wasn't anywhere near 6" when you posted this and he certainly is nowhere near that now. Great Kid though and can flat out ball regardless of his height. I have enjoyed watching him play for the last couple of years.
jason26 you better have a special measuring tape for that one, talk about exaggeration.
Unfortunately at 18 he may not have alot of growth left in him. Hopefully someone will give a scorer such as him a chance.

Tell you what, next time I see him I will bring the tape measure. I sat next to him at the bull city classic, which one were you? He is a great kid, I will give you that.

We not arguing, you stated you reported accurate information and him being 6 whatever is not accurate. The kid does have ability no question and a pretty darn good kid.

Tell you what, come to one of his games with me. I am willing to cover your cost into the event. We can even bring a tape measure if you like. As stated, I am 5'10 and he is taller than I am. All that being said, who cares if he is 4 foot tall or 8 foot tall, kid is dropping 30 plus a game. We can argue about 3 inches if you really want to, but bottom line is the kid can play at a very high level.

Actually I seen him just the other day at the Bullcity Classic and know the kid. Seen him play quite a bit last year and this summer. I am 5'9 and he is not taller than me. Again, credibility @losingpoints... WOW

No, he is 6'0. Saw him just the other day in fact. I am 5'10 and he is taller than I am. Have not broken out a ruler or anything, but I have eyes and when I asked his mom, dad, and trainer they all say 6'0 as well. So, with that being said, I have to go with what I am told and what I can see for myself. Maybe stop by one of his games and see for yourself, or do like I did and talk to family/trainers/classmates etc. We do our homework and report the truth. My name means something and when I put it onto something, I don't do so lightly. Thanks for the feedback though, but I think in this case you may need to go back and follow up on your facts before you question mine. See you out at the games!

Shawn Lipscomb 6 foot, that was a typo right? Your service is already losing credibility... 5'7 -5'9 if he wear sketchers with the thick sole.. Be for real!!!

WOW! What a great way to start the basketball season last night! No less than 4 possible players for the next level on display. Our first game was the girls varsity teams going at it. Carolina Friends won easily as they had the height to dominate the Cresset girls. Star performers were as follows:

Winthrop signee Zoe Vernon went off, especially in the second half to score inside almost at will. She finished with 27 pts, 10 rebounds and threw in some blocks for good measure. Did not look like she was trying, game came very easy to her. She should do well at the next level.

Anna King McClean was solid as well for CFS. showing an all around game. She had 8 pts, 7 boards, and 6 assists by my unofficial count. Really ran the team well and was very active all game. My kind of player! She could play college ball as well.

For Cresset, Megan Weber, the point guard was the best player on her team. Very good ball handling skills and showed toughness. She finished with 10 pts, 3 rebounds, 2 assits. Effort seemed to fall off late in the game as CFS pulled away though. On offense, she was all alone at times.

Keep any eye out for Cresset soph forward Maggie Addison. Great height and went to work on the glass collecting 10 boards versus a bigger team. Offense was hard for her fighting the size of CFS but she has time to grow and develop her game more. Interested to she her grow the next few yrs.

As for the boys game, lets just say that Cresset has a hidden talent on campus. People need to take notice of soph guard, #5 Shawn Lipscomb. He is a 6 foot tall guard and went off for 32 points and 8 boards. Offensively he has a lot to like. He attacks the rim and can finish in the lane. Good body on him for a younger player that allows him to take a hit and finish the play. Has range out to 3 but is at his best off the bounce and getting into the lane. Needs to focus more and learn to play better off those around him but that will come as he learns to trust his players more.
