  As many of you may be aware, Lamont Burt died yesterday as the result of a tragic accident at the Eno Quarry Park. Lamont was a wrestler, first for the Sanderson Spartans and then for the past two years for Broughton. He just graduated and was to attend Ferrum College in Virginia.
  
  This past year, wrestling at 152 lbs, Lamont came first in the Mideast 4A regional tournament and placed 5th in the State. He consistently demonstrated leadership qualities as well as sportsmanship. He will be missed by those he competed with and the many friends that he made.
