It looks like Wake Forest had something for Leesville last night. WF 39 Leesville 29

It was Senior Night for the Wake Forest Team and they created an exciting atmosphere for the dual match. There was a lot of excitement on the benches and also in the bleachers! Lots of respect shown between the two teams and fans. It was great to watch and I hope future wrestling matches in the area can draw the same crowd.

It was an exciting dual match that fittingly ended with WF Senior Nick Mutio pinning his Leesville opponent.

Great job Wake Forest!

I wonder how the mid east and east regionals will look. I think a conference with Wake County teams will head east. Each regional will have around 18-19 teams now.

It looks like the Cap 8 will become the Cap 7 again in 2017. The NCHSAA realignment proposal will move Heritage, Wake Forest and Wakefield out and add Cardinal Gibbons and Southeast Raleigh.

For some reason, both the time and venue for the Leesville @Sanderson match have been changed. We will be wrestling at Millbrook HS and at 6 pm rather than 7 pm.

I saw Wake Forest wacked Millbrook. That surprised me, not so much as the win, but that that WF really smacked them. I guess just bad match ups. Will anyone have anything for Leesville? I thought Leesville was the team to beat and I still think they are the team to beat.
