The Athletic Director at Sanderson has released the following statement:

Sanderson High School Athletic department would like to welcome Jackson Williams as the new head wrestling coach for 2017-2018. Coach Williams is a 2003 graduate of Sanderson HS and a two sport athlete in football and wrestling. While going to ECU to play football he was also an outstanding wrestler. He was a conference champion and regional finalist during his wrestling career at SHS. Mr. Williams is a certified (NSCA) strength and conditioning coach having worked with wrestling programs as a strength and conditioning specialist with NC State, Kentucky and ECU. We look forward to having Coach Williams as he guides our Spartan wrestlers on their journey to success.

With the end of the school year, the coaching shuffle starts as coaches move on. Once again, Sanderson will be without a coach as Nick Shriner is leaving to go work with his Dad at Orange HS.
